As if they didn't have enough problems, the thunderstorm absolutely refused to let up. Thunder booming, lightning cackling. Winds were strong.
Ivy and Fondante weren't liking this at all. Trudging through the woods during a thunderstorm isn't the brightest of ideas but Ivy remained persistent.
Eventually, they found refuge under a large, curved over tree. Once going under it, they were immediately protected by the rain.
Fondante: I feel like a swashbuckler. Perilous journey and all.
Ivy: Must be exhilarating.
Fondante: young mademoiselle, you mustn't worry yourself over a creature who might not want nothing to do with you. If I'm to be asked, this whole escapade is pointless. l'alieno is nothing more than a beast.
To this statement, Ivh was getting slightly ticked.
Ivy: that shows how much you don't know about him.
Fondante: The very same can be said about you, child.
Reaching her boiling point, Ivy stood up in defiance.
Ivy: I know things about him! He's been my traveling partner. We've watched each other's backs.
Fondante gained a sly smirk and stood up. Towering over her.
Fondante: "watched each other's backs" she said. (Chuckles) if you've been watching each others backs, why are we here? In this mess? And where is l'alieno now?
Ivy parted her lips to speak but his question brought her to immediate silence. A question she wished she knew the answer to.

The wounds that adorned his body healed quickly, though he could still feel the pain. Though The rain served as a brief painkiller.
Without any destination in mind, Ace wandered in the woods on this stormy night. Though, the thunder wasn't stopping Ace from dwelling in his thoughts. First his mind went back to his encounter with the frametown monster. He scrunched up his face in anger before quickly thinking of something else.
Ivy's voice.
Ace's pace came to a halt as his mind pondered on this topic. Then he scoffed at this thought.
Of all things he could be thinking about, he thinks about that child's voice. But then again, he misses how her accented, young voice would show a range of emotion.
From happy to sad, stern to laid-back, angry to determined. What a kid.
This even allowed a hesitant smile to creep onto his face.
But Ace knows he now he must press forward. It's better this way. It's better for them both.
Ace has a mission to undertake, after all. He can't allow himself to be distracted, it could end with both their deaths. And Ivy doesn't deserve that.
So Ace sprinted through the woods, Eager to see where and what his journey brings him to.

Eventually, The duo come across a wide open space, though shrouded from his darkness from the thunderclouds, a small village surrounded by a tall wooden fence could be seen.
Fondante: could it be....?
Ivy: A village. Looks... Native American if I've ever researched one.
Ivy initially didn't think there would be any native American villages so close to point pleasant.
But She did remember Bray saying something about a small village not too far from where his farm is located. He also said how he's heard of sort of legend they have there. And knowing Ace...
