Ivy: Ace..... Toodle-loo and Kisses too.....My Friend...
Ace gasped as he shot awake. Completely discombobulated, Ace could've sworn he had heard Ivy's voice.
Saying goodbye
He spun his head around to immediately find himself in a small cave, one where the entrance is modestly blocked by a curtain of leaves.
The sound of dripping water alerted the shaken alien to a small fountain-like pool on the other end of the cave next to what appears to be what humans refer to as a bed.
Rolling his head back, Ace sighed heavily while slowly standing up. If there's one thing he's noticed since being on earth, it's that he keeps waking up in strange places.
The low ceiling hitting his cowl warned him to slouch a bit. The next thing Ace wanted to know was how he got here and his current surroundings offered no explanation.
All he could remember last was landing in a river as the humongous Thunderbird landed on top of him. It also didn't take long for him to remember that Giovanni is missing.
A sudden scurrying sound was all Ace needed to swing his claws in the sounds direction, leaving impressive claw marks on the nearby wall.
The next moment, the scurrying sound came from behind. Faster this time, Ace reached behind and snatched something skinny from the mossy ground.
Lifting it to his face, Ace saw he was holding a short, Grey-skinned, big-headed creature with big orange eyes that glowed in the dimly lit cave. Who was currently trying to pry Ace's huge hand off its spindly neck with little success.
The creature held out its hands in a fearful manner while trying to formulate words, only to stutter and mumble.
???: S-s-stop! P-please, big g-guy. I-im sorry if I s-startled you. I s-swear, I was only ch-checking on you.
Ace: (shaking the bumbling creature) Who are you!?
???: Want to know m-my name? (Calming down a bit) well, uh, my name is Maximilian. People call me.... well used to call me Maxie. Now, I'm known all over Massachusetts as the "Dover Demon". But I'm not a demon!
Ace: (Sternly) Well....what are you?
Maxie: (eyes beginning to water) ..... I don't know what I am.
The creature began to quietly cry, tears streaming down his face and leaking onto Ace's arm. Now having a sense of Awkwardness, Ace gently drops the "Dover Demon" on the ground.
The small creature curled up, hiding his face in its arms. All Ace could do was shake his head with his hands on his hips. The Creature cried for atleast another 10 minutes.
Then, Maxie looked up at Ace with watery eyes before standing up, his head held low.
Maxie: I know I'm being pathetic right now, I'm sorry.
The alien found it extremely hard to remain stern with this little grey man. Bending down to Maxie's level, Ace placed his hand on Maxie's skinny shoulder. Noticing the Alien's sympathy, Maxie tries and fails to hide his feelings.
Maxie: (wiping away the tears) it's fine. I'm fine. (Clears throat) anyway, you hungry? I have fruits and hotdogs.
He points his long finger and a straw basket filled with numerous fruits and a pack of hotdogs. A low gurgle escaped Ace's stomach upon seeing the delicacies. Maxie took the hotdogs out of the plastic wrapping and placed them over a small pile of wood.
