~In which BTS is terrified~

"Breaking news" flashed across the television, grabbing the attention of viewers around South Korea. "In what seems to be the worst case of sasaeng fans attacking an idol, mega-popular member, Lee Nageum, known as NANA, of the ground-breaking group BTS has been kidnapped. Fans around the world are waiting with bated breath for updates on the status of this event.

"A notice has been sent out by the company Big Hit Entertainment, stating that there will be a reward for any information that can be given at this time. The other members of the group have not responded to any questions. If you know anything about the whereabouts of Lee Nageum, please do not hesitate to notify our station or contact Big Hit directly."

In all industries, there were always those extremists, ones who didn't know when to stop and allowed their obsessions to grow to the point of delusions. For idols, these people were called sasaeng fans, the term "fans" being used loosely. Usually, despite their craziness, idols were constantly protected and as such, deemed them as harmless. Occasionally, someone would report a case of harassment from those "fans" and live in paranoia for a bit, before eventually moving on. These crimes were small, not to the extent of actual harm on the celebrities, so they were waved off as terrible, but not dangerous.

Until today.

For the first time, someone was actually taken. Before, there had been close cases, like when EXO almost entered the wrong van, which had been purposely made to look like theirs, or when some managed to put up cameras where idols had been staying.

This was serious, and it seemed like nobody knew what to do. The police were trying desperately to save the Nation's Princess, and fans were freaking out. Friends of the group, and even just other celebrities that had no connection to BTS, were sending out messages on social media to support them.

Meanwhile, the seven boys were sitting listlessly in the police station. They had tried to give whatever information they knew, only regretting the fact that not one of them was with her. True, it would be better to not have been taken at all, but picturing her alone and in the grasp of those nefarious self-proclaimed fans was too much for them.

Another officer entered the room, and asked for what seemed to be the hundredth time what they knew. They answered her questions as accurately as possible.

"When was she taken, exactly?" She began.

"It was right after we were exiting this restaurant. This was around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. For some reason, there were tons of fans crowded around the building, and in the chaos, we got separated. We experience this a lot in airports, but never have we had to deal with this outside of that," Namjoon explained.

"Where is the restaurant?"

"The name is XXXX, and it's located down in XXXXX."

"Do you go there regularly?"

"No, we don't have time to. Which is why the crowd was so weird."

"So, you say you were separated from her? Why didn't any of you stay with her?"

This time Jin jumped in, "as soon as we saw she was getting away from us, we tried to get to her, but it felt like people were pulling us away from her. There were just too many hands around us, and in all of that, she was gone." He put his head into his hands, trying to hold back tears, while Namjoon rubbed his back comfortingly.

"Did you recognize any of the people around you?"

"I think–I think I remember seeing maybe one or two of them from maybe a...fanmeet not too long ago? They just looked a little familiar, somehow," Tae faltered.

"Actually," Jungkook countered, "I remember it now. The ones at the front have been circulating around Twitter, reposted by ARMY. I'm pretty sure they went viral because of their video that they posted. It was something bad... let me just pull it up really quick." In all of the terror, not one of them had checked social media, but maybe it was time that they had.

He scrolled for a minute, trying to find it. "Yes, this post right here officer." All of them crowded around his phone, which he placed on the desk. What they saw was nothing short of terrifying.

Three girls were holding large knives and crowded around the camera in a darkened room. Each was wearing what seemed to be a Halloween mask, possibly the goriest they could find. They talked about their hatred for Nana, a girl in a boy group, who was stealing their boyfriends. They spoke of a plan to get rid of her, to kidnap her and kill her so that "nobody stood in the way of their love" as well as saying that the boys "would be thankful and relieved that she was finally gone". In the last few seconds, they discarded their masks and grinned silently before the screen turned black. The video had been retweeted and shared across many platforms, with ARMY warning the group and others to be on the look out for these crazy fans.

Apparently, it hadn't worked.

With little time to process–each second that passed Nana could be gone forever–Jungkook managed to trace the original posters only to see their most recent tweet: a picture of Nana, wide-eyed with tears streaming down her face, captioned with the words "happy now?".

Behind them, the screen displaying the news was connecting the dots as well. Others who had had the same idea had sent in pictures of the tweet and the video. Now, all that was left was to find her.

It didn't take long. Once there was such solid evidence, it was easy for the authorities to track down the address connected to the user. They only feared it was too late.

Multitudes of cars pulled up, as it was a hostage situation, and the kidnappers in question were quick to threaten the death of their "obstacle". It took every ounce of willpower the boys had not to storm in themselves, but they knew that if she was to get out alive, it would be the work of the police.

After several long hours, the world waiting in terror, she was seen being escorted out by several uniformed men, clutching onto herself as if trying not to fall apart entirely. Two of the perpetrators were in handcuffs and shoved into the cars. The boys, upon seeing their girl, ran to her and hugged her as she broke down. She was scarred, but alive, and that was all anyone could hope for.
