[NOLAN POV]

It's confirmed. Totally confirmed.
I am so not straight.
I'm so fucking gay, holy shit.

I stare unwillingly at Evan as he pulls himself up and down on the chin up bar, his muscles flexing against his T-Shirt and sweat dripping down his forehead making his curly hair stick to his forehead.
"Loser quit drooling." Heather spat, bumping me as she walks past to the treadmill. I jump, glaring at her but I quickly become confused.
"You shouldn't be going on that Heather," I say. She scoffs and winces as she lifts herself on.
Evan is by my side quickly, staring at Heather in concern.
"Bro, your ribs.." He says, watching Heather limp on the treadmill.
"Both of you shut the fuck up. I'm not gonna stop my daily life just because of some puny cracked ribs." She spits, upping the speed.
"Besides. The workout will help straighten them out.' She pauses, looking to me. "Obviously that isn't the case for you guys though."
I tense up and Evan snorts slightly before returning to his chin up bar.
"His eyes are on his head, Wyatt," Heather says so only I heard. I jump, blushing brightly. I smack her shoulder slightly and she laughs slightly before her face falls back into its usual blankness. I didn't even realise I was staring at his ass, damn.
"Ah. I remember when you claimed you weren't gay" She snorts.
I glare.
"I'm not"
She snorts again, spitting her water and laughing hard. That had to hurt her ribs.
"Seriously!" I hiss.
This only makes the brunette laugh louder.
"Heather!!" I say, burying my face in my hands.
"EVAN HE SAYS HE ISNT GAY!" She laughs. Evan freezes and falls from the chin up bar.
He looks up at me, bewilderment crossing his features. His faces scrunches up and he snorts as a loud bubbly laugh leaves his lungs.
"Y-you-" He clutches his gut. "Y-you're j-joking" He cackles.
I bite my lip. I don't even know what I am honestly.
"BUDDY" He cackles. Heather falls starts to fall and I catch her quickly. She sneers and pushes me off her quickly.
"Wow damn, remind me not to help you again," I mutter. "Look." I sigh once the two calm down.
Evan sits back.
"I don't even know what I am, honestly," I mutter, rubbing the back of my head.
The two go silent, Heather turns off the treadmill and limps off, taking a seat on one of the benches in the workout room. Evan looks up at me from where he lays on the floor and he glances at Heather then back at me.
"What?" The crippled girl spits.
He glances at me then back to her again as if hinting something to her.
"If you think I'm going to help him with his sexuality too, your wrong," she says.
"But why? You helped me"
"Yeah. You're a decent person who didn't bully me for four and a half years"
I tense up at the mention followed by the icy glare she sends me.
"You guys are on good terms, are you not?" Evan points out. Heather goes quiet.
"Yeah. I guess. But that doesn't necessarily mean I want to help him"
My shoulders slump slightly and she purses her lips at this.
"I'm not helping him." She says.
I pout my lip.
"No."She says, looking nervous.
"Heather...pwease. Help me find out if I'm gay?" I say, in what a tumblr kid would call a 'uwu tone'.
She nibbles on her lip before throwing her hands up in exasperation.
"Fine!" She groans.
"Yay!" Evan and I cheer. She glares at me and I give her a cheeky smile.
"I hate you both" She pouts dramatically as she crosses her arms and slumps against the wall.
Evan pulls himself up and slumps down beside her.
"Oh, don't be dramatic," he says. He leans his arm on her.
"You love us," He says.
She groans loudly. The bell rings suddenly, cutting off our teasing and Heather grabs her crutches and limps out without a word.
"Bye Heather!" Evan calls. She grunts in response.
"My place or yours?" I ask as we leave the workout room.
Evan looks at me in confusion. "Are you asking to fuck me?" He says.
I choke, blushing brightly.
"WHAT?! NO, BRO, ITS MOVIE NIGHT REMEMBER??" I yell. Evan freezes, a pink dust covering his cheeks as he remembers that tonight is our traditional movie night.
See, ever since grade three, Evan and I have always made time on the last day of the month where we watch movies all night and get slightly hammered. Only slightly. Tonight was that night.
"Oh right. Uh-" He stammers. He licks his lips, running a hand through his hair.
"Let's go to your place. Mines a mess."
A girl who overheard him smirked in a way that made me uneasy. It's almost like she thought- actually you know what she probably did think we were going to fuck.
Damn I wi- I mean what?
I nod and unlock my locker swiftly, grabbing my backpack and following Evan to his car.
I slip in, glancing in the mirror as I do so and my eyes widening as I realize the concealer had wiped away during gym, leaving the hickey and bitemark entirely exposed.
I glance out the window, seeing a few guys from class walking towards the car. Panic sets in and I pull the collar of my hoodie around my neck and sink down.
Evan gives me a weird look and rolls the window down.
"Hey, guys" He greets, reaching over and fist bumping the three guys.
"Hey, Billard. Wyatt." Cole greets, nodding at us.
"What's up?" Evan smiles, hand limp over the wheel.
Cole peers at me, smirking.
"Not much. I just wanted to ask Nolan here something" He says. I tense. I know Cole. We are far from friends. He's arrogant and reckless, kind if a bully if I'm being honest. He does drugs and fucks any girl he can; I'm not really in the place to judge him for that but hey, at least I take care of myself properly.
He's also extremely observant, which often leads him to question things that aren't his business.
"What can I help you with" I force out through grit teeth.
"Who gave you that hickey on ya' neck there" he smirks. I tense, resisting the urge to look at Evan. I feel his eyes on me.
"I'm just asking cause at the party last night I saw you two disappear for a while~," He says in a taunting tone. "If you get what I'm implying"
He leans in the window, his buddies snickering behind him as he props his head on his hand.
I feel a blush creeping up my neck.
"It's not a hickey" Evan buts in. "It's a- uh- bruise... He got hit in the neck by a puck at practice" He says, glancing at me.
Cole doesn't believe it at all as he laughs.
"Ah, of course. How silly of me to forget that hockey pucks can bite"
I tense up and look at Evan, my mouth slack with worry.
Cole gives us a knowing look, waiting for an answer.
"Ok fine. Truth. Nolan made out with a girl while he was hammered at the party, he was blacking out after that so I took him upstairs to sleep. That's all you saw Cole. Nothing more, nothing less." Evan hisses.
Cole looks satisfied, pushing off the door frame and backing up with his hands shoved in his pocket.
He smiles at us a smile that sends shivers down my spine.
"See. That's all I wanted to know, no need to lie. I just wanted to make sure the rumors weren't true, that's all." He says.
"Wait what rumors?" I snap.
He only smirks and turns around, walking across the parking lot.
"Cole!" Evan calls.
"COLE WHAT RUMORS??" I yell. He turns the corner and that was it, he was gone. And we were left confused as to what rumors were being spread.
