Red lipstick and black dress. It looked hot on the blonde, but it seemed the person whose eyes she wanted to catch felt otherwise. She knew she had been terrible to Jade last night when she ignored her getting too engaged with the mix men. She did not intend that though. It was just that she wanted to hear more tips from the dancers as to how she could improve her dancing and also she felt a need to catch up on the new routines she was sure Jade already could master in just an hour. She honestly did not like to be that far away from Jade all night, but it was for the band's sake she did. And this morning, Jade had been cold to her. She knew it was because she felt ignored last night when Perrie fell asleep on her once she got home after repeating the routine at the studio until she felt like she has mastered it well enough.
Now in the interview, she felt rejected. Jade was sitting beside her but makes sure that they don't get any contact. No hip to hip nor elbow to elbow. It felt empty for Perrie. She was so used to having her girlfriend clingy. or the other way around. Today was different though. Jade simply did not want to cling around. She was sat on the sofa between Perrie and Leigh, but she was scooted closer to Leigh, leaving a gap between her and Perrie.
It made her even sadder when she made a comment and Jade openly disagreed with her. She couldn't help but pout and sing alone, more to herself.
Jesy noticed it and was also quiet at the other end of the couch, though slightly engaging in the other two girls' talk. She always felt if something was wrong between the two Geordies. It was just not a good time to talk about it even though, being the mother of the band, she wanted to confront her younger bandmates. She kept glancing at Perrie who was pouting at the other end.
"Hey Sam," she whispered to their handler, then moved her eyes to where Perrie was, making Sam look at the blonde as well.
Sam didn't know about Jerrie yet, but she hated any of her girls upset. She assumed that Perrie was upset because she didn't have her phone while Jade and Leigh were allowed to have theirs all through the interview. She took Perrie's phone which was sitting on top of the desk behind the cameraman and handed it to the blonde who gratefully smiled up at her, and began scrolling on whatever it is on her phone. Still, though, the unhappy pout was on her lips. If only Sam knew what was really bothering her. She looked sideways at Jade and Leigh having a laugh. All the more that she felt jealous. Then a light bulb came up her mind.
"I'll let her know she's mine." She thought to herself and smiled at her plan.
Joining a bit in the conversation, she somehow managed to get Jade to talk to her. But a few seconds later, it was back to the brunette ignoring her. Time to work the plan.
She made sure her lipstick was even on her lips and Jade was occupied with her conversation with Leigh. She surprised Jade by kissing her bare arm leaving a mark of red there, and grinning evilly at the camera. Jade looked towards her and right then, she saw the glimmer of appreciation in the brown orbs behind the long lashes. And for the first time that day, Jade smiled genuinely at her before twisting her lipstick stained arm towards the cam.
Since then, the mood has become light between the two. Jade kept looking over to Perrie who was now giggling and grinning like a kid. She took her phone to her cam and asked Jade to stay still as she took a photo of the red mark on her arm. Then she sent the photo to Jade, with a message.
"I'm sorry"
Jade looked to her upon reading the message, smiledas if to say, "It's okay now. I'm not mad anymore." with her eyes a bit darker than usual, smirking at the red on her arm.
At this time, Sam signalled for Perrie to give back her phone. She reluctantly obliged. Jade gave her a small pat on the shoulder as if to say that it's okay. Deep inside her, there were butterflies. Seeing that photo of Perrie's lips on her arm sent a fuzzy feeling in her, creating somehow a heat in her abdomen.
