Touring has definitely brought back the closeness between Jade and Perrie. The past few months, they have been fairly distant. The last time they really bonded was on the younger girl's birthday and then they drifted apart again, with Perrie having been spending more time with her fake boyfriend to avoid issues that the privy media could throw at Jerrie's almost secret relationship. It did hurt Jade too, added to the pain when she 'broke up' with her guy bestfriend Jed within the year. Since then, she had felt all alone and singled out from the group. Of course, Leigh had Andre to spend time with, and Jesy had Chris. It may be true that she had other friends like Alice and the mixer guys but no one was as intimately close like Jed, who decided it would be really difficult to be Jade's bestfriend to whom she pours out when she had relationship issues with Perrie, if he is that far from Jade. A
But with the LM5 tour, she got to spend more time with Perrie again, cuddle and talk about anything and everything, and some naughty things along the way. And it lit up Jade's darkening world and cooling emotions toward her girlfriend.
It was on one occassion after a night's performance that she and Perrie went home to Jade's apartment. On the way, they saw a family setting up their Christmas tree out their yard.
"Oh my God!" Jade exclaimed. "It's almost Christmas!" She looked out the window like a little kid excited by the sight.
Perrie smiled at how cute Jade is behaving. She was always like this. Out in the concerts and performances and elsewhere, Jade behaves as this mature woman which shows that they've grown from their fetus, teenage and young adult life. But with Perrie, Jade shows the cute baby her. And Perrie loved it that Jade is comfortable to show this side of her only whenthey are together.
Jade turned back to Perrie at the back of the car. "Let's put out the tree together at home?"
Perrie liked the idea. "Sure, Baby."
So that was what they did. They went out to pick out their tree, just a little one that would fit in Jade's apartment and quickly shopped for ornaments and other decorations.
When they arrived home, they began working on decorating, making Jade's home a Christmas fantasy playing mellow Christmas songs on the speaker. They first worked on the ribbons and draperies over the windows. Perrie insisted on hanging most of those at the tops, pointing out she does not like Jade falling from a high place. At that, Jade's heart fluttered. Just how much Perrie cared for her always gives her that warm feeling. So Jade had to do the assemblies of the decoration and Perrie going up the chair to hang them over the window.
They decided to put up the little tree on a corner of the living room right beside the couch, which made it easier to hang the ornaments since they could stand on the couch. At times, they both would hang one ornament on their ears like they were earrings, use the ribbons and boughs and strings of Christmas lights as scarves or belts, and fool around with the varied decorations.
"Hey baby," Jade heard Perrie call from behind her while she was hanging some of the candy cane on one side of the tree. When she turned around, she felt plump lips on hers. Pleasantly surprised, she kissed back. When they pulled away for air, her smile was brighter than the lights they hung on the window frames.
"Kissed you again under the mistletoe!" Perrie winked, looking up to guide Jade's gaze up to her hand that held the said ornament over their heads.
Again, Jade's heart fluttered, she pecked Perrie's heart shaped lips one more time. "I love you." she whispered right after.
"I love you more," the blonde replied, grinning from ear to ear. If Jade was feeling all loved up, she felt all the more loved up as well.
"Now to put up the star!" Jade clapped. She went off to retrive the crystal-made star from the box.
