" Chandler, wake up. We're here. " Brooke shook my arm to wake me.

We had arrived at our new home, the old mansion. Ever since I was in elementary school, my parents had told me to stay away from it. Now that my best friends and I where out of college, we decided to move in.

My eyes fluttered open and I slid out of the car. I looked up at the mansion, taking it all in. It was truly beautiful, just a bit run down. No one had lived here since around 1991. That considered, the price was reasonable.

I grabbed one of my boxes from the car and headed inside. The girls and I had already chose who got what room (through the most intense game of Rock Paper Scissors of my life). Kaitlyn and I shared the biggest room, and the other girls had their own.

I headed up the stairs to the second floor, where the master room was. We had two beds in here rather than one, and there was still a lot of room left.

I entered the room and Kaitlyn was already there, unpacking her stuff into the closet, leaving me to have the wardrobe. I also saw a mirror, in the corner of the room on my side. It was one of those old, antique stand-up mirrors.

I set my box down and let out a sigh, opening it up. I had a lot of work to do.

---

I flopped on my bed and let out a huge sigh. 3 hours of unpacking and I was finally finished. My posters where taped up and all my clothes put away. My pictures and collectibles found a home on top of my dresser. Kaitlyn still had some clothes and shoes to unpack, but then again, she owned a LOT of clothes.

"Chandler!! " I heard Lauren call from downstairs.

"What?! " I yelled back.

" Come help me unpack!! "

I groaned and looked at Kaitlyn. She shrugged and gave me a sympathetic smile. I rolled off my bed and walked downstairs.

" Which room is yours? " I called.

She poked her head out of the one at the far end of the hall.

"Right here. " she said, motioning me over.

I walked to her room and stepped inside. It was almost as big as mine and Kaitlyn's. There were a few pictures hanging on the wall, along with a drawing that I had drawn her in 7th grade.

" I still can't believe you framed this, and kept it. " I said, tracing my fingers over the frame.

She shrugged. " I just really love it. "

It was a simple drawing, with a bunch of doodles of stuff that represented our friendship. I drew it on notebook paper during exams, I didn't know she would actually frame it, or I would've drawn it on better paper.

She grabbed my wrist and pulled me over to a few boxes she still had left to unpack.

" Please, help me unpack all of this. " she said.

I groaned. " You didn't help me unpack my stuff. " I pointed out.

She stuck out her bottom lip and made puppy dog eyes at me.

I smirked. " That doesn't work on me."

She frowned. " It does with Kaitlyn! "

" That's different. "

" How?? "

I rolled my eyes and picked up a box. I could see her smile out of the corner of my eye. Gosh, best friends annoy the crap outta you sometimes. But then again, you can't help but love them.
