9) Mysteries

The next morning, I woke up to an empty room. Sitting up, not only the room, but the house was quiet.

I'm probably the only one here. I thought with a sigh. Getting out of bed, I fixed it before leaving the room to look around and check. In the end, the only person that was here other than me was Lay hyung and I knew I wasn't going to be able to wake him. Even so, I wanted to know why he was still here. I checked the time and saw that it was super early in the morning.

I wonder what everyone's doing that had to happen so early! I curled up on the couch and waited for either Lay hyung to wake up or for everyone to come back. I felt like a dog, just sitting and waiting for my owner to come home from work. I should probably be finding something productive to do but all the things I normally would have done would be too girly to do now. Sighing, I rolled around until my head was just kind of dangling off the couch.

With blood rushing to my head and blurry vision from not wearing my glasses, I thought that I saw a body pass by and abruptly sat up.

"Lay hyung?" I called. There was no answer so I got up and followed where I thought I saw the figure go. Glancing down that hall, all the doors were closed. I went back to Lay hyung's room to see that he was still sleeping soundly.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to go in here without permission, but I know that no one else is home right now. I probably just saw things. I debated with myself whether to wait next to Lay hyung or in the living room but in the end I just went back to my former position on the couch. Again, after a while, I could have sworn I saw a figure pass by again and I started to feel scared.

Rushing to my- and Sehun's- room, I put my glasses on and checked all the rooms again. Surely enough, the only person I saw was Lay and he was still sleeping soundly. I sat on the couch, trying to pull my legs into my stomach and stop my shaking while staring at the area I swore I saw the figure pass twice.

All of a sudden, a pair of hands grabbed my shoulders and I started screaming. The front door burst open and EXO rushed inside but I kept screaming anyways.

"Jihyun!" Sehun's face came into view. I stopped screaming, but only because I started crying.

"What happened?" Lay hyung came into the room.

"That's what we'd like to ask you," Chanyeol hyung nodded at him.

"I heard screaming when I woke up so I came here as fast as I could."

"Jihyun, are you okay?" Suho hyung asked from behind Sehun, who silently sat next to me and pulled me into a comforting, warm hug.

"Someone. House. They-they-they touched me. Someone...was right there. Twice. And-and-and," I brushed my hair away from my eyes and pointed to the area I saw the figure.

"Hold on, Jihyun. You're not making any sense," Kris hyung shook his head. Everyone was watching me with furrowed eyebrows and I glanced at Sehun.

"Why don't we give him some time to calm down first and then figure out what happened?" Sehun looked to everyone. They all complied and went about whatever they were going to do.

"Hyung," I said shakily. He closed his eyes and sighed.

"Everything is okay now," he cooed, stroking my hair gently. I leaned into his touch and tried to calm my breathing, just relax so I could tell them what happened.

"Do you think they know?"

"I don't think they suspect anything, Jihyun. Some guys are like that when they get scared. Tao gets easily scared too so they won't judge you for it. You can relax now."
