The whole ride home my aunt is asking me questions about the family, how life is going, the stuff someone who is secluded from their family would want to know. We drive into her driveway and start unloading everything. I send my mom a text telling her I'm here and that I'm safe. Now for the fun part, calling Dalton.

"Sid, can you get unpacked while I make us some lunch?" Maria calls from upstairs in the kitchen. I was lucky to get the basement that was fully furnished to myself. Aunt Marie doesn't use it much, only for her parties she has with her friends. Not partying parties where you drink alcohol, she has book parties. Aunt Marie writes a lot of books, but she only has 2 published I think. I've read one of them, it's like a knock off Harry Potter book, but it's easier to read.

I drag my suitcases down the stairs and lay them on my bed. I hang my clothes and put my shoes neatly in the closet racks, and place my small items where they need to go. I get changed into sweatpants and a teeshirt and braid my hair into a side braid. Now I finally have time to call Dalton.

I'm really scared to press call, what if he doesn't answer and I have to leave an awkward voice mail. I'm going to push call anyway. It finally starts ringing and I put the phone to my ear.

"Hello Sidney." It didn't even finish the first ring before he picked up.

"Hello Dalton." I giggled and now I hate myself because I sound so girly.

"I'm going to a baseball game tonight if you want to come. I'd really think it would be cool if you came with me, just saying." I could tell he was smiling.

"What time? I'll have to ask my Aunt but she should be cool with it." I hope Maria hasn't changed since last time I saw her.

"I'll be there about 6 to pick you up. Wear something red or blue." What about my address he doesn't know where Maria lives. The line goes dead and I just text it to him.

"Maria! I'm going to a baseball game with a friend tonight, is that okay?" A friend wow.

"You already made friends?" I see her small petite body walking down the stairs wiping her hands in a dish towel. Thanks Maria. I can actually make friends if I want.

"Yes I did. I met him on the flight, he lives in Madison." Oh gosh I said he.

"He?" she says giving me a small smile, playfully flicking the towel at me. She just turns around and walks back upstairs.

"So that's a yes?" I yell and all I hear is a little laugh and a faint yes.

I should probably shower. That plane was a little gross. Aunt Maria has this big house and the downstairs has everything you need except for a kitchen. I walk across the hall and into the giant bathroom. Bubble bath or a shower? A shower would probably be quickest. Doing all my cleansing shower stuff I dry off and wrap the towel around me. I walk across to my room and walk into my closet and grab my aunts old Tri-County Academy sweatshirt that's 2 sizes to big and skinny jeans. I slide on my black vans too. My hair dries straight so I just brush it through and leave it. After putting on makeup and other stuff I grab my phone and bag. Its 5:47 so Dalton should be here soon.

Maria's made plans for her book club tonight so she is setting out finger foods on the table.

I tell her goodbye and walk up to the front door and as I open it Dalton is driving up the driveway. I thought he was 15 how is he driving?

"You ready?" Dalton says smiling really big. Seriously how is he driving legally?

"Mhmm," is all I say before getting into the passenger seat.
