I look blankly at my phone at the message. He remembers me. What if he wants to be friends again? What if he's a complete douche now? I don't know whether to tell Dalton or not. I'm not exactly sure where our acquaintanceship is at this point. I'm sure he thinks of us as a "thing" but right now I'm focused on Tyler. I go against telling Dalton, just in case it does start unwanted drama. Me and Tyler could be best friends again if we both wanted. Even if we live over 9 hours from each other, I would find a way to make it work out.

Still staring at my phone it starts vibrating and Dalton's name comes on the screen. I answer after watching the screen another 3 rings. I let out a small "hello" to make it sound like I'm sleepy.

"I just wanted to call and tell you goodnight. I really enjoyed myself tonight. I was thinking maybe we could go to a movie tomorrow? If you want of course." he stumbled on a few words here and there. why was he so nervous? Nobody has ever had trouble talking to me...

"I would love too. See you at 6 then?" His shy answer comes through the line, indicating we were going to the movie tomorrow. Tyler. I still have to message Tyler back.

I open my texts and tell him to come over at 3 so we can talk. Is he shows up, he shows up. I turn off my phone before I get a reply and turn over onto my side and go to sleep.

I wake up to Maria bringing me breakfast. She set down waffles, eggs and bacon and sausage onto a tray beside my bed with coffee and milk on the side.

"I didn't know what you liked so I just made everything I had. I don't get to cook for many people so I just decided to go all out for us two." Aunt Marie doesn't have kids or a husband, so being in this big house could get lonely very fast.

"Maria you didn't have to do all this, but thank you for breakfast." I say picking up a piece of bacon.

"So tell me about last night. was there boys? Were they cute boys? Was the Mexican restaurant good?" She was talking so fast I had to take a minute to register everything she was saying.

"Well they won, yes there were boys, very cute boys, and is Mexican food ever bad?"

"Tell me about the boys little miss thing." She says sitting on my bed beside me. Maria can be the mom figure or the sister figure at any time you need it.

"Well, um, do you remember my friend Tyler from when I was little? The one that moved a few years ago?" She probably doesn't remember him, the only time she met him was at my birthday parties when she came home.

"The little cutie that I always poked his little dimples? Sherrie's second oldest?" I'm actually surprised she remembers him.

"Mhmm. He lives here in Madison now, and he's Dalton's, the one I went with last night, best friend. He is coming over today to talk about stuff."

"Oh my goodness I can't wait to see my little Tyler. How old is he now? 13 or 14?" She obviously didn't remember that he was older than me.

"No, he's 16." The look on her face could've stopped a war. Her eyes got huge and her mouth opened a little bit. She just kept staring at me waiting for someone to jump out of my closet to tell her she just got pranked and give her money for it.

"I'm just gonna go upstairs now, you just call me if you need anything." She walks back upstairs still shocked. I just let out a small laugh and continue eating my breakfast.

I just sat around all morning until it was half past 1. I turned off my tv and walked across the hallway into the bathroom. After a quick shower, blow drying my hair, and braiding it, I walked back into my room. I pulled out some maroon shorts and grabbed my black PINK pullover. After getting dressed the regular routine continues until I look decent. I can smell the lunch Maria is cooking us, I'm pretty sure it's hotdogs and chile sauce.

Maria has the lunch sat out on the table when I get to the kitchen. She has a book laying beside her opened. Her reading glasses are perched up on her nose while she looks down attempting to eat a hotdog at the same time.

"Aunt Maria, can I ask you something?" she looks up from her book and places her glasses on her book.

"Anything Babygirl."

"It's about Dalton. He has the assumption that I like him, but I don't really think I can feel that way about someone in such a short amount of time."

"Oh my little Siddy, you've grown up haven't you. Our 'serious'," her hands went up into air quotes," talks used to be about Barbie not having a matching shoe or you not liking your bow in your hair."

"You aren't helping Aunt Marie" I said laughing remembering my silly childhood actions.

"Well sweets I'm just gonna tell you to do what you believe is right. Dalton is a very nice boy, very religious and polite parents, Tyler seems to be a little on edge these days. He's just in that phase."

"Dalton is very nice, I agree, but I don't feel like he can be personal enough for a relationship. Plus he's really touchy all the time. He's always trying to told my hand or my waist and it's weird sometimes."

"That's a boy for you Siddy." My nickname was given to me when I was little. I used to say my L's as D's and so when I would say "that's silly" it would be "that's Siddy." The name just stuck. Tyler used to call me it, he was the only one to call me it when I was in school with him. Even though he was a grade above me, we always played on the swings and went down the slide together at recess. Everyone thought we were siblings because we were inseparable outside of the classroom. We would walk home together, since we lived a few roads over from the school. When it rained he would try to be a little gentlemen and gave me his Spider-Man jacket. When I broke my leg in the 1st grade he would move sticks and leaves out of the sidewalk to make sure I didn't trip. Littler Tyler was the sweetest and most polite little boy.

From what I've heard Tyler now plays sports and that he dates every girl he sees. Some people say he gets around, some people say he just dates nothing more.

But Tyler wouldn't do that stuff right?
