You're Mine (Tyler White)

Chapter 8

3rd p.o.v.

Hannah parks Tyler's truck with him in the passenger seat in his driveway. Hannah practically having to run after Tyler is shoved against the wall as soon as she walks through the door.

"Tyler please you don't know what you are doing." Hannah screams trying to push Tyler off of her. She knew Tyler had been with his friends before and knew they probably had been drinking hours before. She went to pick him up to drive him home after dalton called and told her Tyler was having too much.

"Please Hannah I need this." The desperation is Tyler's voice was enough for Hannah to fall for it.

"What about Sidney?" Hannah says suddenly remembering Tyler's young girlfriend.

"She's a kid she will never give me anything I need in life, you can."

Tyler's Pov

I wake up to someone shaking me and telling me to wake up. I open my eyes and see one of my best friends Hannah over me with the blanket pulled to her. I sit up trying to remember what happened. Hannah jumps up scrambling to gather her things. In her frantic moment I pull on some shorts and a teeshirt and walk her out.

"Tyler I'm so sorry." she says turning around to look at me.

"You have nothing to apologize for I was the drunk one. Just don't tell anyone about this okay?" She gives me a small nod and opens the door and turns to walk out. I walk out after her, then hear the faint words "hello Tyler" from the end of my driveway. Hannah's head and my own shot down to look at Sidney at my mailbox and ripping up a letter that was in her hands. Getting down to her as soon as possible i frantically attempt to apologize to her only to her her turning away from me with tears in her eyes.

I broke her. I'm really good at doing that to people. I look up at Hannah and she gives me a nod telling me to go on. I run after Sidney until I see her on a bench with a part of the ripped letter in her hands. I walk to stand in front of her as her blood shot eyes look up at me.

"I thought you meant it. Everything you said to me. I believed every thread of those lies you weaved into me. You win Tyler." She lets go of the ripped piece of the letter and it catches the wind and wisps down the sidewalk.

"You know what Sidney, I realized last night that I have so many things you can't give me. I'm a terrible person and you're not going to change me. You're 14 and you don't have the things I need. Whether you like it or not, this is who I am." she stands up with a swift movement and grabs my face and kisses me. As much as I want to deny it I love this girl so much. She's everything I need. But I cannot give her what she needs. I push her away and glare at her for a moment then turn to walk away.

As I turn the corner I see the lovely Sidney Parker with tears rolling down her cheeks and collapsing to her knees.
