Set in an AU but not the same as from underdogs to top dogs ☺️. This isn't my favourite ship but it was requested and I had a good idea so here we go...

Rocky sighed as he leaned on the balcony of the apartment.

"You okay?" Rocky turned to see Chase stood in the doorway.

"Yeah. I guess." The grey haired boy mumbled.

"I know you miss her, we all do." The brunette was referring to Skye, who had moved out to live with her boyfriend almost a year ago. She hadn't had the chance to visit but Skyped every week without fail.

"Yeah but... never mind. You just wouldn't understand."

"What do you mean?" Chase joined his friend on the balcony.

"I mean, you have Marshall, Zuma's always out on dates and Everest has Joey. Rubble's only fifteen but he still has Zaidy! I'm all alone Chase."

"I guess you're right Rocky. I'm sorry, I wish I could understand but,"

"Don't worry. I'm just getting annoyed with myself again. I'm gonna go to bed, Skye's calling at about ten." A small smile appeared on Rocky's face. He took one last look at the stars before heading inside, followed by Chase. The brunette smiled as he looked at his boyfriend's sleeping form on the sofa. Gently, he lifted Marshall up who responded with a quiet groan and turning his head to snuggle into Chase's chest, and carried him to their room.

The next morning at ten, Rocky raced to his laptop as he heard the incoming call. As soon as he clicked accept, Skye's face appeared on the screen.

"Hi Rocks." She waved.

"Hey Skye. How are you?"

"I'm...good." She hesitated a little and quietened down, looking to her left. Rocky could hear the voice of her boyfriend, Sam.

"I'm going out, I'll see you later." He said before closing the door.

"Have you two had a fight?" Rocky asked.

"No." Skye Said, keeping quiet until they heard the car leave.

"Skye?" Rocky said.

"Hmm."

"What's wrong?" No reply. "He hasn't hit you again?" It had only happened once, a few months back when Sam was drunk but Skye never spoke of it since.

"No, he hasn't hit me." Skye replied quietly. There was silence for a while. The blonde could feel her friend's gaze fixed on her. "He's just... punches me and locks me outside overnight if I do something wrong..." she whispered.

"He what?!" Skye flinched at the volume of Rocky's voice. "Skye you'd better not be joking." He said, almost hoping she was. Skye stood up and wiped her face clean of makeup with a couple of wipes. Sure enough, both her eyes were bruised, one almost healed but the other a deep blue-black colour. Her cheek had a red handprint on it and her bottom lip had been cut a couple of times.

"That's it, Skye pack a bag, I'm on my way." Rocky stood up and grabbed his car keys.

"Rocky wait!" He ended the call before Skye could finish.

"I'll be back soon!" Rocky yelled to his flat mates and stormed out into his car.

Half an hour later, Rocky was stood outside Sam's house, slowly, Skye crept out of the front door with a small backpack on her shoulder. Her face was freshly covered with makeup again.

"He's not here, it's safe." Rocky said gently as the girl walked towards him.

"W-w-what if h-he finds me?" Skye sniffed.
