"Oh god! Shit! Fuck!" The blonde's knuckles were turning white as she gripped her partner and sweat was pouring down her face.
Ow! Fucking hell!
"Skye. Stop squeezing my hand. It really hurts." Chase pleaded. "I'm in some serious pain here."
"You're in pain?" Skye panted, lifting her head slightly. "Last I checked you weren't pushing a kid out of your- ahh fucking hell!"
Chase glanced across to Everest who was sat on Skye's other side in the hospital room. The auburn haired woman smirked at the brunette.
"You're not breaking Ev's hand!" He complained.
"Everest didn't put me in this situation!" She cried. Even the nurses were trying not to laugh at the couple.
"Well you said for me to-"
"I know what I fucking said and I regret every syllable that left my mouth!" Skye growled before crying in pain again.
Everest stifled a giggle before Skye squeezed her hand in warning.
"Don't you fucking dare Ev! You've been through this shit before. Sympathise with me!"
"Sorry Skye." Everest said. Chase used his free and less painful hand to stroke Skye's damp hair. She released his hand for a brief second, causing Chase to pull it away and shake it.
"Any chance of an X-ray after this?" He asked, making the two nurses giggle. Skye shot him a look that clearly said 'if you don't shut up I'll cut off your balls and feed them to the dog with you watching'. The brunette gulped nervously before one nurse spoke up.
"Almost there Skye." She smiled reassuringly.
"Carol you said that half an hour ago." The blonde whined.
"Well at the time I was referring to baby number one, not two." She giggled.
"Come on Skye, you've got this." Everest squeezed her friend's hand gently and smiled.
Skye took a few shaky breaths and roughly grabbed Chase's now bruising, hand.
"Chase, if this little shit is over eight pounds, because it certainly feels like it, you're getting the snip. No fucking questions." She growled before yelling out again and then laying back and panting heavily.
Chase, now relieved that his hand was free, pulled Skye close and kissed her head.
"Good girl Skye." He smiled.
"You're gonna die." She mumbled into his shirt.
Everest laughed at them. "You did really well Skye. And you had no gas and air like I did."
"Thanks, I think." The blonde sighed.
"Well it's not over yet." Carol said, looking at her clipboard.
"You what?!" Chase and Skye looked terrified.
"Only joking." The nurse smirked.
"Damn it Carol!" Skye said.
"Did you have names for them yet?" She asked.
"The girl's Carina and the boy's Samuel." Chase smiled. Carol noted the names down.
"Did you want to see them?" The couple eagerly nodded. The nurses walked over to the two cots and carried the babies over, laying Carina in Skye's arms and Samuel in Chase's.

The two adults were speechless as they looked at their children sleeping peacefully in their hold.
"Hello baby." Skye cooed and she gently stroked Carina's cheek. Chase smiled as Samuel grabbed his pinky finger tightly.
"Worth the pain?" Everest smiled at her friends, turning when her own boyfriend walked in.
"Definitely." Skye grinned, not tearing her gaze from her daughter.
"Enough to forgive me?" Chase asked.
"Nice try. How heavy?" Skye asked Carol who giggled.
"Carina was six pound exactly and Samuel was seven pound ten ounces."
Chase breathed a sigh of relief while Skye smiled at him.
"Your lucky." She said while he lay Samuel with her and Carina, completely oblivious to Everest who had been taking pictures of the family.
"You did so well." Chase smiled, kissing Skye's head.
"We did well." She corrected. "I love you."
"I love you too," Chase held an arm around the twins gently. "All of you."
