Everest drummed her fingers on the table while Skye picked up her phone for the hundredth time and opened Instagram.

"Where are they?" The brunette muttered.

"Woah." Skye smiled down at the screen.

"I know, they're never this late."

"Not that, this." Skye showed Everest her phone.

"Aw, our bestie is so pretty." Everest smiled, placing a hand over her heart. The blonde nodded in agreement. The coffee shop door opened to reveal Chase, Marshall and Zuma who was holding Rockie's hand. Skye and Everest smiled as their friends and partners approached. Almost in complete synchronicity, Marshall and Chase kissed their girlfriend's cheeks and sat beside them, making the remaining couple laugh as they sat down.

"I'm guessing you saw the post?" The grey haired girl asked, looking at her friends expressions.

"Saw it? Rockie honey, I remember you messaging me last night to help with the quote!" Skye Said, making the group laugh. Rocky snorted then covered her mouth with her hand in embarrassment, making her friends laugh even more.

"That was the daintiest snort ever." Marshall laughed, only to get hit on the shoulder by Everest. "Ow!"

"At least you don't sound like a water buffalo." Chase sniggered, earning a stern look from his own girlfriend. The brunette froze and gulped upon seeing his girlfriend's face. He cleared his throat nervously. "Right, who wants what, I'm paying." He stood up, looking for his wallet.

"Too right you are." Skye muttered.

"Just the usual." Skye and Everest smiled. Marshall and Zuma agreed to go with their friend to order.

"Just your usual babygirl?" Zuma asked, giving Rockie a quick kiss before standing up.

"Yes please." She smiled before kissing her boyfriend again and letting his hand go for him to walk away. She turned back to her friends who leaned forward onto their elbows and sighed.

"So, you good?" Everest asked.

"I'm good aside from the fact I spoke to my dad last night and dysphoria is hitting me like a fucking brick wall." The grey haired girl sighed, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, making her gold bracelets catch the sunlight.

"You told him then?" The blonde reached a hand across to hold her friend's. Rockie nodded. "I'm guessing it didn't go well?"

"It would've been better if I didn't get snarky. I told him because, y'know, I've been transitioning for what? A year and a half now? He said that I wasn't his son and before I could cram the words back into my mouth I said, 'that's my point, I'm a girl'. Needless to say he went off on one, it was so bad mum had to cut the cord to the house phone."
