After I got back on shift the next morning at 0500 hours (5:00 A.M.). I was on shift for 15 minutes when the tone dropped "LAFD RESCUE Q0 AND ENGINE 10 RESPOND, POSSIBLE ASTHMA ATTACK. AT 1075 RABER STREET". I ran into the garage with my crew and got into Engine 10 and opened the garage door and turned the lights and sirens on. I updated our status "Dispatch, this is engine 10 show us en route code 3". Dispatch told me "10-4 Engine 10 and Rescue 10 en route". Engine 10 was first on scene and we got the medical bags and box and ran inside to the victim I had the scene analysis clipboard and was tsking notes and info. After we had given the victim 10 ml of Abuterol Sulfate they still were not looking good so I grabbed my radio and asked "Engine 10 to Rescue 10". Mark Jackson replied "Rescue 10 is on scene and we are bringing the stretcher in". So my crew and I packed up our supplies and loaded them onto engine 10 and left for The station. I backed the engine into the driveway of the station and told the crew to get washing the engine. So we hooked up a clean up hose and got to work on cleaning the engine. Halfway through another call came in "ENGINE 10 RESPOND MULTI VEHICLE ACCIDENT. HEAVY RESCUE 3 ON SCENE". So my crew and I got our turnout gear on and sped to the scene. We got on scene before LAPD or Los Angeles county sheriff or CHP did. So I took responsibility and put a reflective vest on and started to direct traffic as my crew assisted the crew of Heavy Rescue 3 to extricate the crash victims. I was directing traffic when Sergeant John Harris with the CHP pulled up and said "I will take it from here" so told him "Alright thank you sergeant" He said "Go help your crew out" So ran over to my crew and helped them pull a victim out of there recked car and then I grabbed a chemical agent to clean up the motor oil and gasoline on the ground. After 45 minutes on scene the tow trucks pulled away with Heavy Rescue 3 following. So my crew and I left back for quarters but got another call "Engine 10 respond, Dumpster fire at 1342 Heavenly Drive" "10-4 Dispatch Engine 10 responding" We arrived on scene and I grabbed the main attack line and started to extinguish the fire after the water was turned on. After.the fire was out we finally made it back to the station for the night. Hope we dont get anymore calls I say to Captain Gordon Harrison. He said back "Hope not either".
