Chapter 7

Mark

I woke up and saw that the only light that was on was the lamp on the side of Skye. I look down to my chest and see that Skye is fast asleep. Her head on my chest and her arms wrapped around my body, good thing her right arm was on top or she would be in a lot of pain. I didn't want to wake her so I decided to stay again for the night. I relax against the pillows and take a breath. I close my eyes and instinctively I wrap my arms around her body holding her closer.

Skye

Mark stayed with me for the whole night, I fell asleep and I never saw him leave so I guess we'll find out in the morning.

I woke up that morning with a pair of arms wrapped around me, I was warm from who ever held me. I look up and see that it was mark, I smile to myself and snuggle my face in closer to his chest. I use my good arm and pull him a bit closer to me. As I started to fall asleep again I could hear his heart beat, a rhythm that I could never forget.

It made me go to sleep.

Mark

Some sunlight peaked through the side window, I look at the clock and see that it's 10am. I force open my eyes and yawn. I gently shake Skye and she wakes up with ease.

"Morning." she says as she rolls onto her back and takes a very deep breath for her ribs.

"How you feeling?"

"I'm okay, still hurts but I'm fine."

"You sure I didn't roll over your arm or your ribs?"

"If you did I wouldn't be this calm."

"Good point."

"C'mon let's go make something to eat."

Skye

Mark and I decided on eating cereal, since I couldn't cut anything. We were watching spongebob and Mark lets me spread my legs onto his lap, so I was very comfortable.

"Spongebob you still make me laugh." I say as I get up to get something.

"What do you need, I can go get it for you."

"Don't worry mark, I need to move around sometimes. My legs hurt if I don't move them." I say as I slowly move to the kitchen to get some water. I then feel my phone ring in my pocket so I take it out and see that it's Jacob.

"Hello."

"Hey Skye, what you doing?"

"Watching tv."

"You feeling okay?"

"Yeah, I'm doing what I'm supposed to do so everything is good."

"That's good listen, this restaurant need major improvements so I might be here a little longer then what I'm actually supposed to."

"Jacob!"

"I'm sorry, I really am."

"You were supposed to take me out of town when you got back. You promised."

"I know."

"How long?"

"I'm staying for four weeks."
