It's officially been two weeks and things were moving swiftly for the clown. Due to the chaos he made while biting off one of the guard's ears, they left him alone and so did the other patients at the asylum.

He was even gifted with iron teeth as braces and replacements from the ones he lost after his final encounter with Batman.

Harleen had the idea of replacing it even if most disagreed with her, saying that it might just empower him more.

But Harleen started to trust the clown, she didn't know why. But the fact that Joker behaved after the teeth replacement made Harleen believe that she was starting to cure him.

Everyday, an hour of freedom was given to the patients, letting them roam around what they call "the living hall". It would normally be called a common room, tables were set, a television and couch were in place, and various board games were also made available to them.

Some of the patients had their own circle of friends but most kept to themselves, Joker was no exception.

He often dominated the remote to the television, finding news of Gotham outside the cramped and old walls of Arkham. He laughs as he sees his gang still living and wrecking Gotham in his name.

A day passed and as he was about to grab the remote, Dr. Quinzel came in and snatched the remote from the table. Harleen kept the remote in her lab coat's pocket "No more TV for you."

Joker started to growl and creep close to the doctor, his heavy breaths could be felt as he breathed down on her neck. Numerous guards and nurses came in close but Harleen told them to back away.

She was observing how he would behave in this situation. Joker started to smile, "Give me the remote." Harleen replied firmly "No." he didn't like the reply he received, he raised his arm and punched the wall near the doctor's face.

The guards crept closer, ready to jump and pull the clown away. Harleen started to tremble, "What are you gonna do, J?"

Joker started to smile and explained what he was about to do to Harleen. "I'll say... pretty please?" and smiled innocently, he put his arm down and became stoic again.

Staring into Harleen's eyes, he asked once more "So, the remote please?"

Harleen started to take the remote out of her pocket and onto Joker's palm. He smiled, saying "Good girl." and winked at her.

He sat down on the couch and started up the TV, quiet and focused on what was on.

Harleen looked at the other doctors, "See, he's getting better." But Doctor Harker opposed "Yes but is this for real? You do know the meaning of Joker?" Harleen came up close to Doctor Harker, "You do know that's not his real name. And soon, we'll find out what it really is." and left the living hall with a few of the guards with her.

They didn't know, Joker was listening on the conversation. He was enjoying his entertainment until, a man held onto his shoulders.

Joker was surprised, and guessing who the man was without looking at him "Papa?" The man chuckled and came up to the clown's face.

Joker's eyes started to express confusion as he saw who the man was "Do I know you?" the man laughed as he replied "I believe we've met before, Joker." Joker became more confused, and now annoyed "So, who the fuck are you?"

The man grabbed Joker's hand and put it over his face, feeling and touching the scars on his head. "Victor, Victor Szasz." Joker didn't know who he was, "Nope. No bells rung here." while poking on his own head.

Victor laughed "Of course, you knew me as. Julius." Joker did not remember most of his past, but swore he heard that name somewhere before.

Victor stood up "But of course, everyone wants to forget the past. For they aren't our true selves, right Jack?"
