ELEVEN – BROTHERS.

They were pretty much always stuck together, especially after Mark had decided to drop his studies since things were getting tough for him. The two of them were the only ones in their Korean classes at that point of time too. Even if they didn't want to – which fortunately wasn't that case – they were still pretty much stuck to each other everyday.

During winter or cold weather days, the both of them would always be the ones to reach the company first. And no, it's not that they had classes that early but rather, they were there to catch up on their sleep and at the same time to make sure they would not be late for their lessons.

"Where did we keep our sleeping bags again?" Bambam looked around the empty studio room then at Mark who pointed at the top of the small cupboard.

A wide smile split across Bambam's face as he hurried to where the cupboard is, forgetting that he was still a little too small in size to be able to reach them. However, Mark had followed behind him, taking the sleeping bags down from it.

"Grow taller, little one." Mark spoke quietly but Bambam could hear the slight joking tone in his voice.

"Nayeon noona had been buying me milk everyday!" He stuck his tongue out at the older guy, taking the sleeping bag Mark held out for him.

As usual the both of them chose a corner to place their sleeping bags down. Bambam sat down on his soon after, making sure he's faster than Mark before he gave him a cheeky smile.

"Switch off the lights please?"

Mark stared at the younger boy for a short moment before finally reacting by rolling his eyes but he still did what the younger one had instructed. And the two of them slept through the whole morning until the others came back from school.

That was one of their most significant memories that were shared just between the both of them. However, like how other brothers would, Mark and Bambam had their fights too. There was once which taught Bambam how to not say the wrong things at the wrong time – especially when Mark was already about to explode.

That lesson had caused a lot of tears from the young boy too.

It was a period where every trainee would be stressing over. The trainee showcase was just a month away and that was when they knew they would be evaluated on stage. No one wants to fail, especially the foreigners who didn't want to be just sent back without achieving anything.

For a young boy like Bambam, who's at the age of only 14, which is only one year after he joined the company, it was still scary. It might be even scarier than the time he auditioned. Since it was also his first time, he was getting stressed and scared for that whole month.

And that affected the people around him, causing lots of misunderstanding.

He was hiding in his room then, he hadn't been able to get the moves of his dance right and it's only a month to go. It's rare for Bambam to act like this but right at that moment he couldn't help it. He was both thinking about the steps for the dance and at the same time, the fear of failing it crept into his mind.

He can't, he have to debut.

That was when he briefly heard his name outside. It was Mark who mentioned his name; he couldn't fully understand what he said and it was pretty muffled since the room's door was closed. He kept hearing his name being brought up and for some reasons, he felt the anger in him blowing up.

"Bam," Mark interrupted his thoughts when he opened the door. "Let's go for lunch, yeah?"

Bambam didn't say anything; he merely stared at the older guy.

"Are you not coming? Come on." Mark coaxed again.

"You were talking bad about me." Bambam muttered under his breath, locking his gaze with Mark who's feeling really ridiculous.

"What are you talking about?" Mark sighed in frustration. Bambam wasn't the only one who felt like shit the past few weeks. Everyone was and that accusation had irritated Mark to his limit.

"You heard what I said." Bambam who didn't notice Mark's face darkening continued.

"You're being ridiculous."

Indeed, Bambam's English had gotten a lot better because of Mark. However, he was still unsure of the word 'ridiculous' and that's when things got worse.

"You're being stupid!" He raised his voice, which got the attention of the people outside. That's when it finally reached Mark's limit who didn't say anything in return and acted on instinct. Grabbing the nearest thing near him, which in this case was his laptop. He threw it at Bambam's direction; maybe it was unintentional or maybe it was his subconscious, the laptop barely hit Bambam.

Sungjin who was one of the boys behind Mark hurried to where the crying Bambam was and sat on the bed with his arm around the young boy.

"Hyung-" Jinyoung muttered, trying to stop Mark from leaving but the older boy ignored him, leaving the dorm alone to cool himself down.

Whereas for Bambam, the young boy cried his heart out, along with the stress which had built up during the past few months.

After the help of the other boys, it was revealed that it's all a huge big misunderstanding.

"Bambam hasn't been looking good lately." Mark had voiced out to Sungjin and Jinyoung who's at the dorm that day.

"Yeah, I can see that." Sungjin had muttered in reply.

"Let's go get some good lunch, yeah?" Mark who seldom initiated stuffs like this brought up. "I think it would help Bambam. Get him to forget about the showcase for a while."

Despite him always teasing the younger boy, Mark does have a soft spot for him; just like an older brother would. Which is why when Bambam timidly approached him to apologise.

Mark forgave him almost immediately.

But that's also because Jinyoung had talked some sense into him who told him about the stress Bambam's been facing and that it was probably his way of venting his frustration out.

"I'm sorry..."

Mark stared at the smaller boy who's holding out a cup of ice cream, his head bowed low. Just when Bambam was getting nervous that he would get scolded again, Mark took the cup from him.

He didn't have to say anything; Bambam knew he's forgiven.
