-CASEY-

As I walked out of the clerk's office, I shot Kev a text letting him know he owed me big time. I was already pissed walking in but as soon as I heard they threatened his life, that was the last straw. I went back in the courtroom and showed my ass to both Jim and that wack ass detective. This was the reason I went to law school. These crooked ass cops think they can get away with whatever. Not with my black men.

I left the clerk's office and headed towards my office. The day has just started and it was already adventurous, I thought to myself. Gabe was cute though. I could do without the face tatts but other than that, he was handsome. Lord knows he did his thang with that masterpiece. It was hard to keep my composure while talking with him. "Never let him see you sweat" I thought to myself the entire time.

Gabe was hood and I love hood men. I don't know why. I know I should probably be dating some lawyer or doctor but honestly, I did not vibe with them. They were too corny and wack for me. They would let me have my way. I wanted someone who would put up a fight from time to time. Someone I could go toe to toe with. Although Gabe seemed like the one, I did not and will not engage in sexual relations with my clients.

My thoughts were interrupted when I saw my best friend, Bree, calling.

"Best friend" She said. I knew something was up from the sound of her voice. "Where you at?" She continued.
"Walking back to the office. What's up?"
"Are you wearing a white blazer, blush pants, tan louboutins and your hair in a bun?" She asked as I stopped mid step and did a 360 wondering where she was.
"Yes, why?"
"I KNEW THAT WAS YOU." She yelled into the phone.
"What are you talking about?"
"I'm about to send it to you." She said as she hung up the phone.

I walked slowly towards the direction of my office waiting on the text. I hurried and opened it as soon as I heard the ping. Realizing I was at the front door of my office building, I stopped to see what Bree was talking about.

She sent me a screenshot from TheShadeRoom on Instagram where a picture of me was posted leaving the courtroom with Gabe and Marty. The picture showed me shaking Marty's hand as Gabe looked at me seductively licking his lips. The caption simply read #LawyerBae. I just shook my head without calling or texting Bree back as I headed up stairs to the office. Luckily, no one knew my name or who I was so the little paparazzi couldn't start rumors. That's the last thing I need.

"Ms. Jones, there's a Mr. Miller and Mr. Wright in your office waiting on you." Tabitha said as I walked back in. "Thanks Tabitha."

I headed towards my office where the door was closed. As I opened the door, I noticed Marty sitting in front of my desk and Gabe laid back on the couch into his phone.

"Glad you could make yourselves comfortable." I said looking at Gabe. He flashed a quick smile at me and winked. His smile was so gorgeous. The things I would to do to him, I thought to myself. "Alright, so here's what next." I continued as I sat at my desk. "Your next court date is October 11. I will show up. If the officer cannot prove he had probable cause to stop you, case dismissed. Are you listening?" I said to Gabe as he was still strolling through his phone.

"Yeah I hear you." He said nonchalantly.

"So what do you do?" I asked him as I sat back. He looked up at me from his phone before continuing "you don't know who I am?"

"Gabe Miller." I said. I knew his name but I didn't know if he was rapper, singer, stripper.

He simply sat there chuckling before getting back into his phone without responding.

"Any questions for me gentlemen?" I asked. I could tell Gabe didn't want to be here as much as I didn't want him to be here. I had other business today that needed to be handled. They shook their heads no and I told them I would be in touch before walking them out.

When I made it back to my office, I immediately looked him up. Through Google, I learned his rap name was OG. He had a few albums on iTunes so I downloaded the most recent and put it on shuffle. I continued my google search and found out he was from up north, two years older than me, in the XXL Freshman Class a few years back and had an upcoming concert here in Atlanta for the Birthday Bash.

I was listening to his music and wondered how I missed out all this time. He gave me that 90s hip hop vibe. I loved real raw hip hop. Based off those few tracks, I purchased three platinum VIP tickets to the upcoming concert.
