-CASEY-
I noticed Tish was all up under Key. I ordered a round of Henn for everyone and they were down there drinking and giggling. It was cute but I don't know how I feel about Key with Tish. It just didn't feel right.
Gabe hasn't said anything to me since we got here. I knew he was still mad.
Incoming Call - Tabitha Cell
T: Casey. They found an unmarked box outside of the office door. There's no one there but the police and bomb squad are there.
I immediately jumped up throwing the napkin that was in my lap and silverware on the table. I walked over towards the corner of the rooftop to finish my conversation.
C: they did what? How??? Who???
T: we don't know. I'm headed there now.
C: this is serious Tabitha.
T: I know. It's so soon, too. Okay I'm pulling up. I'll call you back.
I hung up the phone and leaned over the railing as I stared out admiring the skyline. The press conference was literally an hour or two ago and this shit was starting already. We received death threats during the Tyreke case but never anything serious or suspicious packages. I had to tell Gabe but I knew he was going to flip and not want me going back Atlanta or even my office. Even if I did, I wasn't going naked. I kept a 380 in my car but never carried in the office. My 9 was going to be in my purse every and all day.
"You okay best friend?" I jumped as Bree approached me to check on me.
"Shit girl you scared me. Yes, I'm good. That was Tabitha. Issues at the office."
"At the office? On a Saturday?"
"Yes. A suspicious package was found out front."
"A SUSPICIOUS PACKAGE"
"Shhhhhh! Before Gabe hear you, yes a suspicious package. They are checking it out." I responded as I looked at Gabe to see if he heard her. Him and Kev were over there laughing at something. Whatever it was, it was hella funny.
"Oh no. You have to tell him or I will. He's right. You're not going back there." She said trying to grab my hand and drag me back to the table.
"Bree just give me a second please!" I snapped back her.
"Okay. You better figure this shit out and figure it out quickly." She walked away as I turned back with my back facing them. Bree would definitely tell Gabe and probably was going to tell him now. With that thought in mind, I took a deep breath and walked back to the table to finish my food and conversation.
Bree sat next to me and Gabe sat across. Michelle was on the other side of me. Kev was next to Gabe. Key and Tish were at the end of the table and Rod and Mel were down there with them. Marty and Mia sat next to Kev and Bree.
"So Case, how's the office?" Bree asked as I cut my eye at her. She was so damn petty.
"I wouldn't know. I'm not there." I continued eating my food.
"What she talking about?" Gabe asked looking at me cutting his conversation with Kev short.
"Tabitha called saying it was an issue at the office. She's going to call me back when she has more information."
"You lyin. You do that lil shit where you look everywhere but at me when you lying."
"Damn" Bree said. "He knows you well."
