Chapter 2

Date with Maxon.Yep my very first date with one of the Selected.
My maids dressed me up in a very pretty yellow sundress and i went to the garden where Maxon was standing next to the picnic table.He was wearing khaki shorts and a thin blue cotton shirt which accentuated his muscles and made me ogle over how handsome he was.
His already tanned skin looked golden in the sunlight.
"Hey....."He mumbled.
"Hi...."I replied feeling equally awkward.
We sat and then he spoke up.
"Dont you get bored living in the castle?"
"I do..sometimes....i dont even have that many friends."
"I miss my friend too....he was so amazing.His name was Jaxon."He said his face a little bit sad.
"Maybe i will make arrangements to call him"I replied putting my hand on top of his.
"Oh yeah....Thank you America."He said and then he freezed.
"Sorry....uh...princess America."He muttered blushing embarrasedly.
"Its okay....you can call me America."
He chuckled and then we talked more and i got more comfortable with him.He was so cute and funny unlike a Two.
"Thank you for such an amazing date."I said holding his hand.
"My pleasure.....i had fun too.I would like to go out with you more."He said winking at me and making my cheeks go pink.
I leaned over and kissed his cheek.
He scratched the back of his neck and went.I was so happy that i was practically skipping over to my room when i bumped into Aspen.
"Hey Aspen"I greeted him.
He smiled.
"Hello....good morning."He replied bowing a bit.
"You dont have to do that."
He shrugged and we walked together.
"How is your family?"I askes knowing that he was a Six.
"oh....you see after my father died.....i was the one to take care of all the expenses and stuff.My family is pretty huge....three brothers-Reed,Beckner and Jemmy and three sisters-Kamber,Celia and Ivy plus Ma."He said.The way called his mom so childlishly made me laugh and it was so cute.
"What?"He asked his face marred with confusion.
"The way you call your mom its....it is cute."I said smiling.
"You must work pretty hard for yoir family huh."I said but it sounded more like a question.
"Yeah....i get tired but seeing my family happy gives me satisfaction."He replied his green eyes a bit melacholic.He was homesick.
"Is it hard without your father?"I asked hoping to console him.
"Yeah...somtimes its like i need him because i want to share my feelings."He replied sighing.
"I  am sorry."I said not knowing what to say.From that i deduced that his heart was broken and he needed a comforting hand and love and every good thing in the world because he was so selfless and always trying to amke others happy that he forgets about himself.
"Thanks.....its like a burden has been lifted off."He said taking my hand and kissing it.
"You're welcome.Take care will ya."I said putting my hand on his cheek.
He smiled and walked back to his room.Thats when realization struck me.I was falling for two people both equally gorgeous and deserving.
