Chapter 6

I was dressing up when i heard the rebels.
I jumped from the dressing counter and saw the swish of my maids skirt.I ran down when a rough hand tugged me back.I screamed but it was muffled by a sweaty hand.It was so gross that i wanted to puke.I clawed at the rebels arm but it was useless.
"Stand still Princess America.Say goodbye to your life....."The rebel said cocking a gun at my head.OH NO!!!!I WAS Hyperventilating. HE IS GONNA BLOW MY BRAINS OFF!!!!!.
I heard a shot go off as i screamed collapsing to the ground.
I AM DEAD.I AM DEAD NO.WAIT!!!!
The last thing i saw was Aspen's and Maxon's face stare at me before my conscience faded away.

I woke up in a hospital bed. I tried to sit up but my back ws hurting.
"Hey there easy...."Maxon said gently touching my arm.
"Water."I croaked.He pressed a plastic straw at my lips as i sucked in.The cool water subsided the hot and itchy feeling in my throat.
"Aspen killed that rebel."Maxon said running his fingers down my cheek.
"where is he?"I asked felling grateful that he was there.He saved my life.
Maxon sighed and rubbed his forehead.
"While i brought you to the hospital he ....he took down some rebels.....and in the process he got shot in his shoulder.He is in the other room.The doctors are still operating.He will be fine."Maxon replied.
My heart stopped.He got shot saving me.Tears threatened ro fall from my eyes.I got up not and ran towards the Operation Theatre.
He was sleeping peacefully.
The doctors said he was under the effects of anasthesia.
I gave a sigh of relief as i felt Maxon's hand on my shoulder.
I turned around and his lips were against mine.
"I am glad you're safe my dear."He whispered in my ear.
I hugged him and kissed the side of his forehead.
He  took me to my room and i laid down on my bed.He pulled the covers up as i fell asleep.
