After a week

I had grown closer to Maxon more and more. It hurt me to stay away from Aspen. He was still in the infirmary. The doctors were reluctant to let him go because he was shot badly. I took some white roses with me. They were his favourite.
"Hey.... How you doin'? "
I asked gently rubbing his good shoulder.
"Better..... " He said taking my hand in his. A million things ran in my mind. He trusted me and it would totally break me if I betrayed it.
I sighed and kissed his forehead.
"Take care Aspen...... I will see you soon. "
"Bye Mer..... " He mumbled before closing his eyes.
Tears pricked at the corner of my eyes. I never let them fall...... Stay calm.... Stay calm.
Aspen's sister Kamber and his little brother Jemmy had come.
I liked her a lot. She was a fiesty girl like me.
We had talked about boys and stuff. She was kind to my maids and they bonded easily due to their caste. She smiles at me before going to talk to her brother.
And then at the end of everything there was Maxon.
He tugged his ear and I tugged mine back.
We met and our lips collided passionately.
I crumpled his shirt between my fingers and tried to open his shirt buttons.
"Woah Woah....."He says blushing.
"Sorry."I reply kissing his cheek.
"Oh dont say sorry......many beautiful things are gonna come our way."He whispered in my ear before winking at me and walking into his room.
I bit my lip and went to mine.
I laid down on my bed and thoughts about Aspen flooded my mind.
I knew it wasnt easy to break his heart.
He was an amzing person.I loved him but i loved Maxon too. Hell he took a bullet for me.
I knew he loved me and cared for me deeply.
When i would say that i kissed Maxon his first thought would be....

I am a Six.....You should have told me before.
I am unworthy....

Then I couldn't control my tears anymore. Losing him forever almost broke my heart.
I got up and went out. I needed some air. Then i heard whispers.I rounded of the corner and saw Grey talking to Kamber.
" What have we done. "Kamber exclaimed her voice thick with tears.
Grey looked tense and then he............. kissed Kamber.
" Everything will be okay...... calm down"He said gently carresing her hair.
They hugged each other and a fear rose in my chest. If the cameras caught them it would be a mess.
My father surely wouldn't spare them.
But for some reason i felt happy for Grey.
"I love you Kamber Leger."He says.
" You are a Three in love with a Six. How? "She replies biting her lip.
" Pfft...... who cares...... it doesn't matter as long as i have you. All that matters is you."
Grey lovingly stares at her.
They were in love and then I realised that falling in love is what breaks a heart or mends a heart and she was a hundred and ten percent sure that she can't break Aspen's heart and that she had to protect Grey and Kamber's secret.
I went to the security office hoping she would delete the footage.
"Princess America...... Princess..."
A guard halted me.
"Yes. "I say
He took me to the security office and the fear grew in my chest.
My mum and dad were there. Dad was fuming.
" What is this!? "He angrily asks.
I saw Grey and Kamber.
" Dad...... i...... please...... "I mumble.
I was terrified. I knew that Grey was my best friend.
"Make the announcements....... The laws have been broken.....!!!!!" My dad shrieked.
I ran hoping to get Grey and Kamber to safety..
Everything was a mess.
They are in deep shit.
"Oh Grey..... what have you done. "I muttered to myself.
