When we get to the park, we wait in line for a short while to get on the hayride. When we do, Luke helps me up onto the trailer and sits me beside him. He hasn't taken his hat back, which I'm grateful for. I knew it would be chilly tonight, which is why I wore a light sweater. Looking around at our group, I smile to myself. At the beginning of the year, I was terrified that I wouldn't fit in. But now, I've reunited with two good friends, made four new ones, and have a potential boyfriend. It's strange, how things have worked out. Not to mention that I've began to get to know the girls on the basketball team, as well.

On the hay ride, a gust of wind blows against me and I shiver. Luke takes notice, and pulls me into him. I link arms with him, leaning against him. He's much warmer than I am. Cozy, even. I look over at Emily and Sasha, who are sitting next to each other across from us, -Calum and Ethan sitting outside them- and watch as they talk. They're babbling about some class that they share and some assignment. Jackie and Trent, who are sitting next to us, are silent, as usual. Luke looks down at me, smiling. "Are you having fun?" he whispers.

"Yeah, actually," I nod. The hay ride is peaceful, and as the sun finishes setting, it's really kind of beautiful. "I almost don't want this hay ride to end," I laugh.

"I wouldn't mind that," he smirks.

"No, you wouldn't," I repeat. But it does end, and we stop to grab a bite to eat and play a few games before we go into the haunted house. It's about eight thirty when we finish eating. Sasha drags Ethan over to the pumpkin carving contest, followed by Trent and Jackie, while me and Emily decide to get our faces painted. Naturally, I would have assumed that Luke and Calum would have followed. But, to my surprise, they decide to roam around, and come get us in a few minutes when we were done. I didn't mind, really, it was just shocking, seeing them hang out together.

Luke's POV:

I would have rather stayed with Noelle while she got her face painted, but I knew that I had to thank Calum for convincing her to give me another chance. Plus, I wanted to see what was up with him and that Emily girl. So, I decided to pull him aside to talk. Though for a while we did more walking around than talking.

"So why did you want to leave Noelle?" Calum asks.

"What? I can't hang out with you for a few minutes without her?" Calum glares at me, and suddenly I feel slightly uncomfortable. "I uh, I wanted to thank you," I say. "For helping me."

"Don't mention it. But I'm not kidding, you better not fuck this up again. For her, especially." I nod.

"I know." After a few seconds, I continue. "And, I'm sorry. For everything. You're right, I always fuck things up, and screw someone over. But I'm really trying, to fix everything." Calum and I have a history dating back to quite some time ago, and I know that he's never quite forgiven me. I'd honestly turn that day around if I could, and maybe we'd be at a different place. Not necessarily totally better, better than this. "And I just want you to know that I never meant to screw things up this badly, and I would totally change it if I could."

"Okay," he states.

"Okay?" I ask, confused. He nods.

"I'm not saying I totally forgive you, but it's a start," he says. I smile slightly.

"Cool. So..." I drag out. "Do you like, like Emily?" I ask him. He raises a brow at me.

"I said your apology was a start, not enough for me to answer that question." I laugh, looking at the ground and stuffing my hands in my pockets.

"I think she likes you," I continue.

"Okay, we're not talking about this. This is too weird," Calum gives in.
