Ashton stayed over the other day, but now, it was time for Sadie and I to go shopping for Halloween costumes like she wanted. I reluctantly went along, only because I needed one for the party and I had no idea what I wanted to be. Otherwise I would have had her pick one up for me. But, I don't always trust her judgment, even though she's my sister. Parking the car, we head inside the store. It's crowded, per usual this time of year. Though, I suppose it could be worse. "So what are you dressing up as?" I ask Sadie once we get inside. She smiles, grabbing a shopping cart.
"Wonder Woman," she replies. "I saw the costume online, so I already know where to get it." I nod, following her. Just as she had said, she knew exactly where to find it. Picking it up off of the rack, I looked it over. It was a pretty realistic costume, it looked like. Sadie found her size and threw it in. Then, she turned to me. "See anything you like so far?" she asks. I shrug. To be completely honest, I haven't been looking. Sadie sighs. "Hey, you know what? I know exactly what you should be!"
Sadie drags me over to another aisle and hands me a costume. It was an Indian Princess costume. I look at her, tilting my head. It was cute, I thought. "Why an Indian Princess?" I ask her.
"Because, silly," she starts. "When you're dating someone it's cute for you guys to match! And I know that Luke is dressing as a cowboy, so the whole Cowboys and Indians thing fits into play here. Just trust me; it's cute, it's not too revealing, and more importantly, it's your size. I'll help you do your hair before the party and luckily I have a pair of shoes that will go perfectly with it!" I take her word for it, throwing the costume into the cart. After buying a few more accessories and things of the like, we head to checkout, pay for our things, and leave. The party was in two days, but if we had waited longer it wouldn't have been good.
At home, Sadie tries on her costume to make sure it fits, and insists that I try mine. Both of them fit us, so we lucked out. "So are you and Michael going to match, then?" I wonder.
"More or less," she smirks. "Oh! By the way, I've talked to him a few times about that whole him confronting you thing. He apologized, but I've been keeping a closer eye on him." I smile, thanking her.
"Good. He kind of scared me, that day," I confess.
"I would have been too, trust me." We share a laugh, and I brush my hair out with my hands as we talk.
"So where is this party, anyways?" I ask. All I know is that it's one of the biggest parties every school year. Sadie laughs, like I should know the answer.
"It's at Michael's house. He's the one who throws it every year," Sadie explains. "That's actually how I met him, and when we started dating. So this will be like our three year anniversary," she smiles. I try to hide the fact that suddenly I feel uneasy about this party. I knew he would be there, but I didn't know that it would be at his house. He'll probably stalk me there, too, and this time he'll have the advantage. I can only hope that Sadie keeps him busy that night. If he and Luke truly don't get a long, Luke should have no problem keeping Michael away from me, or me away from him. Not that I would want to be around him anyways.
"Oh, really? How exciting!" I couldn't care less, honestly. I know that might sound rude, but he did try to ruin anything I could have had with Luke, and somehow knew that Luke was at my house the night of homecoming when he was there with Sadie. So, you can't blame me that I don't trust him.
"Yeah. But hey, maybe you and Luke will become official tonight, and it'll be you guys' anniversary too!" she smiled. Oh god no. Please, no. Not that I don't want us to be official... Wait, do I? Well I mean... if we were to be official, I sure hope it's not decided tonight, because if I had to share an anniversary with my sister and Michael Clifford, I think I would drive myself mad.
