Love Comes With Agony

Chelsea's POV
*Next week*

Today was my first day of work with the DeLuca Corps..
After my meeting with Axel I went home and told Nicky about the entire thing that happened... At first she was angry but then suddenly she started smirking and told me to go ahead with the plan.... She was actually liking the idea so much...
I got dressed and went to work... I was wearing a black pencil skirt that came just a tad bit above my knee... A white blouse... And black stilletos... I walked inside the building with my head held high... I walked straight to Axel's office... I straightened my skirt before knocking on the door...
"Come in".. a voice said from the inside... I walked inside...
"Good morning sir..." I greeted him... I said sir on purpose... He wanted to keep it professional then I was going to do the same... He looked up from his laptop and saw me... Rather scanned me from top to bottom...
"wow sei bellissima ..." He said... But unfortunately I understood that and a smile crept on my face... I felt so happy...
But i decided to pretend that i didnt get what he said... So i gave him a very perplexed look...
"Um sorry sir... I didn't get what you said..." I said
"Um nothing... Your work for today is that you will sent a particular email to all the employees... Then copy these documents in your computer... Then you will take these files to the management department... Then you will come back and then we have to attend a meeting... There you will take notes but before that you will copy these files in a separate pendrive and give it to me... But before doing all these get me a coffee... By the way the meeting starts at 12:00.. be here by 11:45 latest... Don't be a second late.. I hate tardiness.. and all these work should be done before the meeting cause after that you have to do some more things... Are we clear..." He said without a break... Was he out of his mind? How am I supposed to to finish all the work within the next two and a half hours... The documents that I had to copy would itself take like one and a half hours or maybe more... Then I had to copy those notes that he just gave me... They would take sometime... but right now I had to get him coffee... Oh my God so much work... Is he crazy?? I am a human being not a machine...
"Do you want me to do all these work by myself?" I asked
"Is there anybody else in the room at the moment?" He asked
"Um no sir..." I said
"Then please leave and get started..." He said without looking up...
I took the files that I had to give in the management department... The notes, the documents and everything and went out... Thank God I worked out daily so it wasn't a big deal to carry such a big amount of things with me...
I entered a small room that was just opposite to his... I kept everything on the table and went downstairs to get his coffee... I came back with the coffee and handed it to him..
"Thank you... " He said taking a sip of the coffee... I didn't reply and walked out...
I started doing my chores... By the time I was finished it was almost 11:45... I was about to go out when Axel walked in.. glaring at me..
"Are you done...??" He almost yelled at me...
"Um yeah sorry... It was just a lot of work.." I said clearing my desk..
"Then just quit.. I don't like such good-for-nothing people in my office..." He said that and walked out without glancing back... I didn't say anything cause honestly I was tired I just quietly went to the conference room...
I entered the room and saw Axel sitting with an elderly man and two other men... They were talking about something... As I entered they looked at me... Axel nodded at me to enter the room and take a seat..
"Signor lorentio ... questo è il mio assistente ... signorina. Thompson .."  Axel said to the man...
"wow lei è molto bella ..." The elderly looking man said...
"davvero lei lo è" Axel replied... I felt so warm and fuzzy inside... Hearing him giving me a compliment made me so glad...
The elderly looking man whose name was Mr. lorentio came up to me and held my hand and placed a kiss on it...
"sei una bellissima giovane donna..." He said
I was going to thank him... But Axel interrupted..
"lei non parla italiano..." Axel said....
"Oh sorry.. I just said you look beautiful..." Mr. Lorentio said...
"lei è già presa così è meglio se ti allontani ..." Axel said with a hard expression on his face...
"Oh veramente".. Mr. Lorentio said...
"si è la mia ragazza..." Axel replied...
What was he talking about... But when he said that I was just so happy that I was scared that I would burst out of happiness... Was he serious about what he just said?? Is this some kind of a joke...
"Signor lorentio grazie per il complimento ed è un piacere incontrarti .."  I said.. and the moment the words left my mouth.... Axel turned his head so fast that I was scared it would snap... He had and unreadable expression on his face... He didn't say anything just kept staring at me...
"So shall we start...!!" I said... Nobody said anything and the meeting started... But Axel was so lost that he didn't make any sense when he was talking... He looked so lost and kept looking at me... The meeting continued for an hour when he decided to take a break and then resume it again... He went outside and asked me to follow him...
We went up to his office and he literally dragged me inside the office...
"How much of it did you understand...??" He asked me looking so angry...
"Of what.." I asked in return..
"Oh come on you know what I am talking about.. the conversation in the room?" He asked still glaring at me...
"Um.. all of it..." I replied slowly...
"You speak Italian?" He asked his voice a notch lower...
"Yes I do..." I said
"Good for you but then whatever you heard... Don't take it seriously... I would never date a girl like you... Maybe I did but then that was the biggest mistake of my life... You were a mistake... A massive one... And I am happy I got rid of you... Never ever dream of is getting back together... Cause that's not going to happen... Not in this life or the next... You were someone to me but now you are just a nobody... A slut like you don't deserve a place in anybody's heart... You are a freaking gold-digger.." he said that and walked out of the room... I was left speechless, hurt and humiliated... He just called me a slut and a gold-digger... Is he kidding me?? More than that a mistake... So I was a mistake.. then why did he tell me that we would be together if I worked for him? So that was a lie!! I was so felt so betrayed... Tears kept rolling down my face... Never in my entire life have I felt so helpless and humiliated... I was frozen in my place... I don't know how long I stood there but then I slowly walked out of the room and went back to the meeting... But I couldn't concentrate on anything... Axel's words kept ringing in my ear... The meeting ended and we went out... The rest of the day went in a blur... He gave me tons of work to do... I finished them and went back home... I was just so tired, hurt and broken that I didn't eat my dinner and went straight to bed... I kept crying and finally fell in a deep slumber...
