Book II (chapter 6)

Axel's POV

A couple of days back I got into a huge fight in a club trying to save Chelsea, in the process my phone was damaged so I got a new one plus I got a new number as well... So the first thing I did was call Chelsea to ask her if she would join me for dinner but she declined... I felt broken but I decided to respect her decision... She said she had an appointment with someone else... I wondered who that person would be... What if she was going on a date with someone else?.. I mean I can't see her with someone else... I am too selfish to let her be with an unknown person... In the past we had both made mistakes which came with a hefty price... But now I want her even better I need her... I was trying my best to get her back but nothing seems to work at all... So I decided on today's dinner but she just rejected that as well... Right now I am so confused that I can't seem to concentrate on anything.... I was busy thinking and overthinking everything when I heard my phone ring... I saw the caller ID and my heart fluttered with joy....
"Hey...." I said trying to sound tired so she would actually take pity on me...
"Ok I will go..." She said sounding really serious
"You will?" I asked getting really ecstatic... Right now I wasn't even sure if I heard it right or was I just hallucinating
"Yes I will... When and where?" She asked...
"Yesss..." I yelled out of pure happiness... I couldn't believe she actually agreed.... Oh my God yess it's working.... I was dancing with joy.... I said a quick thanks to God and continued the conversation...
"I will come pick you up at 7..." I said
"Okay.... No.... Wait you tell me when and where... I will go on my own..." She  replied getting serious again... Okay so now she doesn't even want me to pick her up... That's great... It's off to a really great start..... I said to myself...
"Uh okay... How about 7 and meet me at our usual place..." I replied... But now I was really dubious as to whether she would show up or not...
"Uh.. which place are you talking about?" She asked... Wow so she has forgotten about that as well... I said again to myself... I have been talking to myself a lot these days... Can't help... People around me are busy being happy... And I am stuck over here trying my best to mend a broken relationship...
"You know Chelsea what I am talking about.." i said hoping that she would understand the place I was talking about
"No I don't...so tell me..." She replied in a very serious way.... Honestly I have never heard her speak like that so it kind of caught me off guard...
"Uh okay meet me at fabbrica di cibo..." I said... I said still unsure whether she would so up or not...
"Okay fine... See you later then..." Shd said and hung up the phone... I wanted to ask her about the appointment she had... But before anything she just hung up... I felt like she didn't like the idea of me calling up... But really can you blame me... I wanted her back...

I got dressed and left the house at 6:15... The drive from my home to the restaurant was like 30 minutes... I reached around 6:50... I went inside and sat down at the table waiting for her to show up...
I was sitting alone for a really long time... the waiter had come thrice to see if I was ready to order or not.... I looked at my watch it was 8:00... I knew it... She wouldn't show up... It was a bad idea... I shouldn't have called her up and asked her out of nowhere.... I decided to wait for 10 more minutes... I put my head down and sighed.... It was a mistake... I slowly got up and was about to leave when I saw her rushing towards the table... Looking completely out of breath... I rushed to her side and pulled out the chair for her to sit down.... She looked at me with apologetic eyes... But she was so out of breath that she couldn't speak.... After sitting for a while and calming herself down she looked up and said...
"I am sorry for being late... I wasn't supposed to... But I had to go the studio for a very important and urgent meeting.... Then half way through my car broke down... So from there I came running..." She said looking at me with guilt written all over her face...
"Uhh.. that's okay... But from where did you come running?" I asked her...
"Uh from the bus stop..." She said as if it was nothing...
"What? Are you crazy?? You know you could have just called me...?" I said looking at her with wide eyes... This girl is crazy...
"Yeah i know but I didn't want to bother you... Plus I had a nice workout..." She said smiling...
I was a bit hurt by her reply but I just smiled... I suddenly remembered the flowers I had for her...
"Hey I almost forgot these are for you... And you are looking absolutely spectacular... Blue always suits you..." I said admiring her beauty... She looked enchanting in that royal blue dress... It hugged her body perfectly which accentuated her curves... You could see a teasing glimpse of her cleavage... Her long blonde hair was open... She was never a fan of bold make up... She kept it as minimal as possible.... She was looking at the flowers which gave me a chance to admire the girl who has captivated my heart with her beauty and brains...
"Uh Axel, can I ask you something...?" She said bringing me out of my thoughts...
"Uhhh huh yeah what...?" I asked....
She showed me a card which had my initials on it.... Oh shit she shouldn't have seen that...
"Where did you get this?" She asked...
"Uh I don't know..." I said...
"They were here with the flowers..." She said...
"Yeah so... What does that imply...?" I said... Oh god no no... She shouldn't know this...
"I know someone else who has these same initials..." She said looking at the card...
"Uh who?" I asked pretending to not know anything about it...
"A person who sends me flowers everyday..." She said
"Ohhh... " Was all I said...
"Wait a minute... Axel what's your full name?" She asked looking at me with narrowed eyes...
"Uhh why do you want to know?" I asked...
"Shut up and answer..." She said looking at me like she has finally got the answer to her problem... Victory written all over her face...
"Uhhh Axel Marcus DeLuca..." I replied, barely audible....
"That's it... M.DL.. is none other than you... Marcus DeLuca... Oh my God... You are the one who sends me flowers everyday...." She said looking pissed off...
"I am sorry... I really didn't want you to know cause I know that if you knew you wouldn't accept them that's why I kept it a secret... I am sorry.. please don't be mad at me... Please Chelsea... I promise I won't do anything like that again... I swear... Please please... I am really sorry..." I said, apologising over and over again... I really don't want her to be mad at me.... I can't lose this chance... How come I didn't notice what I was writing on the card... Why the fuck did I even sign? This is insane... If she walks out today then that's it... End game...
"Did you write those poems and those really encouraging and inspiring words?" She asked me still looking pissed and very serious...
"Uh yeah... I meant them... I am sorry, I won't do anything like that again...." I said.... My hands getting really cold...
But then what she did was unexpected... She got up from her chair... That's it the end... I am probably the most stupidest person in the whole world... She came close to me sat down next to me and placed a soft kiss on my cheek...
"That was really sweet... I didn't know you had that in you... The words were really motivating... Thank you..." She said then got up and went back to sit on the chair she was occupying previously....
To say I was shocked would be an understatement of the year... I didn't know how I was going to react.... My heart was beating so fast that I was scared it would burst any minute.... This was like the best day of my life... My senses were all messed up... I was so sure she would probably end everything here and walk away.... But she didn't.... She is happy about the fact that the flowers were sent by me....
"Earth to axel..." She said and brought me back from whichever planet I was in...
"Uh sorry..." I said scratching the back of my neck...
"You didn't expect that reaction did you?" She said smiling...
"No honestly I didn't.... I thought you would walk off..." I said looking away from her...
"No that was a really sweet gesture.. I really appreciate it..." She said...
"Thank you...." I said slowly starting to feel myself again....
The rest of the evening went well.. we talked about our work... Our friends and family.... The usual things.... Then we walked out of the place...
"Uh Axel can you drop me home..?" She asked again taking me by surprise ...
"Thought you would never ask..." I said.... I went to my car... Helped her get inside first then went and sat down on the driver's seat....
We reached her home faster than expected... She got out of the car waved goodbye and walked towards her house... I saw her open the door and get in... I was about to start the car when I saw the door open and she came running out...
"Come out of the car right now..." She said in a very demanding voice...
"Why what happened..?" I asked getting concerned...
"Just come out..." She said and stood there with her hands in her waist...
I came outside and stood in for the of her...
"What's up..?" I asked her...
"Axel I want us to be together again... Please can we go back to being normal...?" She asked... The words from her mouth made me the happiest person on the planet...
"Really?? Are you sure about it?" I asked her, double checking to see if I was hearing the right thing or not...
"Yes I am... I am 100% sure of what I want... Please can we?" She said again..
Okay so that means I am not hallucinating...
"Yes why not... I always wanted this... Thank you chelsea... Thank you so much... It means the world to me..." I told her... I was happy that I couldn't really say anything further.... She's my everything.... And the idea of having her back in my life was just so good.... She came and hugged me... God this felt so right... Her body just fitted perfectly in my arms... This is the best feeling in the whole world... So sublime.... So flawless... I don't know how long I stood there before actually driving myself back home... All throughout I was smiling like a retarded person... I was beyond happy... I was overjoyed... I felt so peaceful....
