Book II (chapter 7)

Axel's POV

After a really long time I had an awesome good night sleep... The thought of having Chelsea back in my life alone made me so happy and peaceful.... When she said she was going to give us a chance I was euphoric... I was ready to start a new chapter with her...
The first thing I did in the morning was call her up...
"hey bellissimo buongiorno"... I said happily on the phone...
"Buongiorno..." She said correctly... And I could feel her smiling against the phone...
"bambino fantastico..." I said back, feeling proud of the fact that she has finally learnt the language...
"grazie..." She said...
"So what are your plans for today...?" I asked her... I actually wanted to go out with her...
"Uh.. I have a shoot from 12:00- 2:00 then a short break and then again from 4:00-5:30... That's pretty much it... Oh no wait I will meet with Nicky at 6:30... She said she has some important stuff to discuss... Yeah that's it.... What about you?" She said almost everything in one breath....
"I actually have a meeting at 10:30... That's pretty much it..." I replied feeling a bit disappointed that she was so occupied today...
"Oh... Okay... Have a great meeting... By the way get out of bed and go take a shower or you will be late for work...." She spoke like my mum...
"Woah how did you know I was still in bed?" I asked feeling a bit surprised...
"Your voice is groggy from sleep... So just get the heck out of the bed and take a shower...." She said....
"Yes ma'am will do.... Anyway bye... I love you..." I said that and regretted immediately.... But then a part of me was hoping she would say it back...
"Hmm..." Was all she said and hung up.... The part which had hoped for a reply was crestfallen... Maybe I shouldn't have said that.. it was probably a bit too early.... I really hope that she was as happy as I was....
I learnt my lesson and decided to keep my mouth shut... Like seal it up with a duct tape whenever she was around so that weird words don't come out of my mouth and that I don't scare her away with them....
I got out of bed, took a shower, got ready and left for work.... I went in and was greeted by my assistant Harold
"Good morning Axel..." He said... Harold was the head of the accounts department.... But now he was working as my assistant.... I still haven't found a good replacement for Chelsea... I kind of liked having her around... Uh excuse me the way you behaved with her wasn't right... My conscience said... And made me feel really guilty for what I had done...
So yeah Harold was this 56 year old man who has been working with us for like 30 years.... He knows me for a very long time now like since I was kid maybe... So only he has the liberty of calling me Axel...
"Yeah so what's my schedule again?" I asked...
"A meeting at 10:30 that's it..." He said and looked at me with a smile.... This was one of his many traits that I admired... He was always smiling no matter what... Even in the toughest of the toughest times I have seen this guy smile....
"Wow so I don't have anything after that... That's great... I can go visit dad... Haven't met my old man in a long time..." I said...
"That's good son... Your dad's a great man... And I am happy you turned out to be like him... But a sometime back I remember you changing and I was worried you were becoming a rotten mango but I am happy you are back to be the guy I love..." He said and I remembered the day when I yelled at him for not being able to do his work properly....
"I am sorry Harold ... Please forgive me for that..." I said feeling ashamed of my actions and words....
"That's okay son... It happens... You don't always have to be perfect.... We are humans, we are bound to make mistakes... We weren't born to satisfy people.... And it's okay you are back to what you were so that gives me immense pleasure.... Axel I have known you from a very young age... I know the type of person you are and I also know the person who was responsible for changing you into the person you weren't... You don't have to apologise to me... You are like a son to me... I have forgiven you a long time back......" He paused for sometime and spoke again...
"Enough talk now get back to work... Is everything prepared for the meeting?" He asked...
"Yeah everything is... Thank you Harold for not giving up on me... Thank you for believing in me..." I said smiling...
He smiled back and left my office... After he left I started working on my laptop seeing whether everything was ready or not... It's been an hour or so when I heard a knock on the door... I looked up and took a quick glance at my watch and saw it was 9:15 a.m. I quickly said
"Come in..." And fixed my eyes to my laptop again... But the strong smell of a very familiar perfume made me look up...
I saw chelsea standing there with a smile fixed on her face... I checked her out from head to toe... She looked breathtaking... She looked beautiful in a white T-shirt, dark blue denims, a black and white plaid shirt tied around her waist, and a pair of white Converse to complete the look... Hair laid down.. a plastic bag in her right hand... Black shades hanging from the pockets of her denims...
"wow sembri così bella..." I said looking at her...
"Yeah right... So I got you breakfast something that you have probably skipped because otherwise you would be very late for work right?" She said in a deadpan voice...
"Uh yeah... I was going to get something to eat..." I said scratching my head...
"Yeah right... I know you Axel... So just stop lying..." She said looking at me with raised eyebrow...
"Okay maybe I wouldn't have..." I said... I was feeling so happy right now... This was unexpected... Should I be worried I asked myself... Maybe not... I replied to myself... Maybe I should be... No but she is smiling that means no I shouldn't be.... I don't know oh god... Chelsea is the most unpredictable girl in the whole world... Oh god... I started having a full proof conversation with myself...
"Earth to axel...." She said ..
"Uh sorry for zoning out..." I replied feeling nervous but elated at the same time... Is it possible to feel something like that? I don't know... This girl make sure me feel all weird things...
"Can I ask you something Axel..." She asked very seriously..
"Uh yeah sure what....?" I said getting really anxious... What the hell...!! I scolded myself..
"Why are you freaking out...?" She said looking at me with tilted head...
"Uh no I am not...." I said but she looked so unconvinced by my reply... So I said again "okay maybe I am because honestly I didn't expect you here plus I think you are probably regretting that you gave me a chance... That's why you are here... To tell me that you are going to go away..." I replied very honestly...
She didn't say anything just looked at me like I was crazy or something....
Then she got up and came towards me... She sat down on my lap facing me like good old days... Wrapped her arms around my neck and bought her face closer to me... Okay now she was making it really hard for me to control...
"Listen you moron what I told you yesterday I meant it... Every word I said they were from my heart.... I want you by my side... And I came here I know unannounced cause I wanted to surprise you.... I don't get breakfast for everybody.... Today morning you said ' I love you ' but I didn't reply cause I wanted to tell you this in person.... Yes I love you... More than anything else... I have always loved you... Just took me some time to realise that.... You were always that one person for me... I am sorry I didn't realise this earlier but know that I know who I want I am never letting you go... I will cherish you every freaking day of my life... I want you and I need you in my life... You are the most imp...." I didn't let her finish before that I captured her lips with mine... This was something I wanted to do for quite some time now... It felt right... I could taste the strawberry flavoured lip gloss on her lips... They were so warm... I could feel her smiling against my lips and I couldn't help myself from smiling... This girl made me the happiest person in the whole world..... The kiss became more and more passionate, I got hold of her very tightly like my life depended on her.... I bit her bottom lip and as expected a moan escaped her mouth.... Oh god I was so hard right now that anyone who saw me would realise that I was going through a really hard time.... I got up from my chair she wrapped her legs around me and got hold of my shirt... I took us to the couch on the other side of the room... I laid her down... But not leaving her lips for once.... She pulled at my hair... I could feel her fingers unbuttoning my shirt... I put my hands through her shirt... I could feel the hook of her bra on my fingers I was about to unhook it when someone knocked on the door.... We quickly got up... She looked so flustered.... I buttoned up my shirt she straightened her hair and clothes and quickly sat down on the chair opposite of mine.... I quickly looked at her and we pretended to have a conversation... When I said
"Come in..."
I saw one of my employee walk in with a file in his hand...
"Sir I need your signature on this... This will be sent to the head of the Silkcart Corps..." He said
"Yeah okay leave it on my table..." I said in a very serious tone... I saw him keep it on my table and take a quick look at Chelsea who was sitting at the chair.... I narrowed my eyes at him.... He saw that and left immediately....
I was so frustrated at the moment I could feel the tension in the room... This was something we both been craving for....
"You know you need a cold shower or you won't be able to continue with your day..." She said with a smirk...
"Yeah right..." I said getting really tired and frustrated...
"I should leave.... I will call you later..." She said quickly gave a peck on my cheeks and left....
I stood there for sometime and decided to take a shower before the meeting that would start in half an hour.... Everything felt so surreal.... I was convinced that she wasn't going to walk out of my life anymore.... That thought itself put a smile on my face.... I was happy to have her back in my life... This was something I have wanted for a very long time.... Finally I got it.. I got her.. she means literally everything to me.... I still remember that day she walked out, I was devastated and angry but above all I felt lost.... Today I am happy... Happy to have that one person back in my life who can set everything right...
