Book II (chapter 8)

Chelsea's POV

I was feeling happy that I was finally able to say the three most splendid words to the man I love.... I felt on top the world.... I left his office feeling really content.... I was going out when suddenly someone came and gave me in a huge teddy bear hug....
"Katie stop...." I said laughing...
"Hey girl how have you been....!!" She asked me... She still looked the same... Wow I don't know why I expected her to change though...
"I am good.. what about you?" I asked ... It felt nice to see her after a long time...
"I am absolutely okay... By the way what are you doing here?" She asked...
"Oh I came to meet Axel!" I said in an obvious way..
"Axel? You call him by his first name?" She asked getting really confused...
"Uh yeah I do.... Okay look it's a long story... I don't have time to tell you right now... But I will.... Just not today... Okay bye I will see you later..." I said and literally ran away from the place before she could ask me anything else.... I wasn't in a position to explain anything to her.... I went to the parking space to get my car when I felt like someone was following me... I looked back and saw that same guy I saw in Axel's office earlier today...
"Hey..." He said from a distance...
"Uh hi..." I said hesitantly ...
"My name is Johnny..." He said coming closer and putting his hand forward...
"Uh do I know you?" I asked...
"No I don't think so... But if you will remember you saw me today at Mr. DeLuca's office...." He said smiling...
Why the hell is he smiling... Does he really think I am going to just have a smooth conversation with him....
"Oh yeah.." I said giving him a fake smile...
"Yeah you do remember...." He said still smiling....
"So what do you want?" I asked jumping straight to the point...
"Um nothing just... Um do u maybe want to have lunch maybe..?" He said scratching the back of his head...
"No definitely not... I don't even know you so why do you expect me to go?" I asked getting really pissed off with him...
"But I know you... You used to work here didn't you..." He said....
"So what does that prove? You know me but I don't so no... Plus I have a boyfriend and if he gets to know what you are up to he is going to fire your ass..." I said...
"Oh really so now you are telling me that Axel is your boyfriend... You think I am dumb..." He said slowly coming even closer to me...
I quickly turned to leave when he got hold of my hand and pushed me up against the door of my car....
"What the hell just get off me you bastard...!!" I yelled at him... But his grip was really tight.... He was holding my hand but my legs were free.... I kicked his member with all the force I had in me... He fell to the floor with eyes close... His face revealed the amount of pain he was going through right now.... I kicked him again just near his ribs.... Unlocked my car, got in and drove away without looking back... I felt proud of myself... But I decided not to tell Axel about this... Then either the guy would be dead or end up in a hospital with very little chance of recovery....
I reached the studio and saw Maya pacing back and forth, looking extremely tensed....
"Hey what happened.... ?" I asked her...
"The designer didn't turn up yet..." She said chewing her nails...
"So... Don't worry he will show up..." I said and gave her a smile of assurance....
"Stop smiling..." She said and started pacing again...
"Fine I am going inside..." I said and went inside...
After sometime I saw her run in....
"Hey what's up...?" I asked her...
"Lionel's not coming today... I told Spencer he said to cancel today's shoot and we will do it tomorrow...." She said and ran outside....
I went after her.... "So what time is tomorrow's shoot?" I asked...
"Same time..." She replied... And went away.... Wow that was unusual... I mean Maya was very chatty.... I went back home... Since I didn't have anything to do I decided I would watch... 'to all the boys I have loved before' again... This was probably the fifth time I was going to watch this movie... I loved the plot and I like Noah centineo a lot.... Plus I like the chemistry between Peter kavinsky and Lara Jean.... They are sooooo adorable... I settled down on the couch with a bowl of popcorns and some soda... I wasn't supposed to eat all these but can you blame me...

After finishing the movie I glanced at the clock and it was 2:00 in the afternoon... I didn't really have anything to do so I decided to take a shower and take a nap... I did as I have decided to do....

I woke up around 5:30.... I stomach was making weird sounds I was hungry as hell.... I saw a few missed calls on my phone.... 1 from Maya, 1 from Nicky, and 3 from Axel.... I decided to call them up one after another.... I spoke to maya, she told me about the tomorrow's schedule.... Nicky told me she has to cancel our meeting today cause Emmanuel is taking her tonight and then I called Axel... He picked up after a couple rings..
"Hey what are you doing?" I asked....
"Pretty much nothing... Just working on my laptop... You?" He asked ....
"Nothing I just woke up... Actually the shoot got cancelled today so I came back home early, watched a movie, took a shower and then slept like a bear... And now I am going to eat cause I am hungry as hell...." I said laughing....
"Wow so you slept without eating?" He asked...
"Actually I had popcorn while watching the movie so I didn't feel like eating anything after that so I slept... Now I think I should eat.... Hehehehehehehe..." I laughed...
"Wow great job..." He said laughing...
"Hey can I come over?" I asked him...
"Why are you asking me this stupid question?" He asked like I was mad...
"Okay then expect me in an hour or so..." I said smiling...
"Okay.. come fast..." He said and hung up... So my evening was sorted... yehhh was so happy.... I made some sandwich ate it, got dressed and left for his house.... I reached the main entrance and memories came back to me... Both happy and sad.... The security guard saw me and gave me a smile... I knew all of them... Nothing has really changed... The gates opened and they let me through....
I saw Axel standing near the door and smiling at me... I went up the stairs and gave him a huge hug... We went inside.... The house was as it was.... Everything was exactly the same... I looked around and felt warm inside... It felt like the good old days when everything was normal... Before I screwed up...
"So you haven't changed a thing?" I asked putting my hands behind my back...
"Nah I couldn't..." He said...
"What do you mean by you couldn't?" I asked getting slightly lost...
"I don't know... Its not like I didnt try changing things... I did but then I couldn't bring myself to do it.... Don't ask me for an exact reason... I can't give you one..." He said and walked towards the kitchen...
I followed him.... I saw him wear an apron then take out a pan, some vegetables from the fridge, bacon, some cheese, some chicken breasts, a couple more things....
"What are you doing?" I asked looking at him...
"I was making some food.. feeling really hungry...." He said looking at me...
"So what are you planning on making?" I asked him....
"I don't know..." He said now looking at the contents on the spread on the kitchen counter....
"Can I make you something?" I asked him because he looked so lost...
"You will?" He asked like a little boy... I nodded my head.... "Thank you so much.... You are the best..." I took the apron from him and started chopping the vegetables.... He was standing beside me and was talking nothing but shit and doing nothing.... I was about to turn the gas on when the power went out... It was so dark everywhere....
"Axel are you there?" I asked my voice slightly shaky...
"Yeah yeah I am here... Wow this is unusual...." He said and I could feel him get hold of my hand....
We started walking but I don't know where he was taking me...
"Where are we going?" I asked by now I was sticking to him like paper....
"Don't worry to the couch... My phone is over there... Chelsea where's your phone?" He asked me...
"In my pocket.." was my stupid reply...
"So can you do me a favor and take it out of there and switch on the flashlight ...." He said...
"Uh sorry..." I said getting embarrassed that this hadn't occurred to me...
I took out my phone and switched the flashlight on.... Finally I could see something.... We went to the couch... I sat down and Axel went in search of candles in his house.... He came back with two candles and a lighter...
He kept the two of them on the table and sat down beside me.... All of sudden his stomach made a gurgling sound indicating that he was very hungry....
"You know I can finish cooking... Your stomach is crying...." I said and started laughing...
"Uh how are you planning on doing that...?" He asked...
"Don't worry come with me..." I took the two candles and placed them on the kitchen counter and started working... Suddenly I felt two arms wrapped around me and pulled me...
"Axel what are you doing...?" I said laughing...
"Do you really need to cook?" He said putting his head on my shoulders...
"Stop it Axel... Let me do my work..." I said and tried pushing him away.... But he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him... I was now facing him....
"Axel leave please...!!" I said.... My voice getting shakier by the minute...
"Do you really want me to?" He asked me... His voice so low and deep....
"Noo.. uh... Noo" I said stammering....
"Are you sure...?" He said....
"Yesss I am...." I said....
He picked me up and placed me on the counter.... He moved the things and blew the candles off and placed them in the sink.... And came back and stood in between my legs.... The moonlight illuminated the kitchen slightly... That's it apart from that there was no source of light in the whole house... Everything was dark....
"Axel what do you want...?" I asked him...
"I want you tell me something very honestly.... Will you answer me? I know you told me everything today morning... But please whatever I am going to ask you... Will you answer me? And please don't get me wrong!" He said and I could feel the desperation in his voice....
"Fine ask... I will answer them..." I said seriously...
"Do you regret this whole thing...?" He asked...
"No and never..." I said in a convincing tone....
"Are you ready to spend your whole life with me like I am?" He asked....
"I am and I always will be..." I said... I could feel him smile... Although I couldn't see his face I just knew...
"Are you ready to have a family with me like I am?" He asked...
"Yes I am..." I replied and I slowly wrapped my arms around his neck... He wrapped his arms around my waist...
"And the last thing... I hope you won't leave me like the first time..?" He asked...
"No never... Leaving you the first time was the biggest mistake and regret in my life.... I am sorry but I am way too selfish... I can't see you happy with someone else..." I said and pressed my lips to him... He kissed me back but broke away...
"Thank you chelsea... Thank you for giving me a chance even when I was a total jerk to you.... I am sorry for what I had done... I wish I could go back and change everything but I know I can't... So please forgive me.... I will try my whole life to make it up to you... You know I can be stubborn sometimes so please don't leave me and go... Please bare with me... I am literally begging you to do so... Don't ever leave me... Please just accept me with all my flaws... Please don't ever give up on me... Please believe me.... Don't push me away.... Always trust me... I will never let that break... I promise you I will try to be the best boyfriend even the best husband in the future... Just have faith in me.... Will you be able to do that...?" He asked me... I could feel myself tearing up... I couldn't believe the hardcore CEO of DeLuca Corps talking like this...
I got hold of his face and bought it closer... "I am never going to give up on you.... No matter what... But you need to promise me that you will do the same for me... No matter what..." I said...
"I promise... I love you Chelsea with all my heart...." He said and kissed me...
"I... Love... You... Too..." I said in between kisses...
This was the most surreal moment of my life and I wanted it to last forever.....
This was probably the sweetest most passionate kiss of my life... The amalgamation of all the unspoken words in one kiss.....
