over the phone argument

I finally got my cast off yesterday and Michael has his 2nd Canda location which means the end is getting closer.

"it's the prizes and things today" Ben smiles

"you feeling lucky?" I ask

"I sure am"

"come on, it's time to go" Beth smiles and we make our way to the room

"so the top three who got the votes for the most successful hard working staff are Katie, Shane and Scarlett" David says, wow I've never been in top 3 of this before. this is the best award you can get out of all of them "and the winner is.........Scarlett"

"well done" Beth smiles hugging me, I go up and get the amazing trophy and I'm so happy I won it. this has been the one award I've wanted the most since I started here. I get home and I read a book and actually finish it which shocked me but then again I was just sat here for almost 5 hours.

"Scarlett, Someone is at the gates asking for you" Ricky smiles

"who is it?"

"Ben"

"let him in" I smile and walk with him and I wait by the front door "hey" I smile when Ben gets to the house

"hey, I got a favour to ask"

"sure, what is it?"

"I'm going out with friends to that new club opened in the town at the bottom of that hill just before here"

"oh yeah, it's meant to be good"

"yeah, so I was wondering if maybe I get too drunk and can't get home if I can stay the night here?"

"of course you can, just ring me if you do and I'll get Ricky or someone to pick you up"

"thanks"

"you're welcome" I smile and goes back inside, I make a taco for dinner and then by around 8pm the phone starts ringing so I go to answer it "hello"

"hey, it's me"

"hey Mikey" I say smiling

"did you know?"

"know what?"

"that Janet is married"

"she's married?" I ask completely shocked, I didn't even know she was engaged. I knew she had a boyfriend but this is all new to me

"yes, why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't know"

"everyone did, so you obviously did too"

"no, I honestly didn't know. This is all new to me, I didn't know she was even engaged all I know is she's due home from her vacation with her partner today or tomorrow"

"it's would've been in all the news so you're bound to of seen it"

"Michael I haven't seen anything, it was the awards in work so I've been there all day and I came straight home"

"staff must of mentioned it to you"

"they haven't, Michael I honestly didn't know"

"it hurt, it hurt a lot being the last one to know and to not even get told by my wife or even a family member. I got told the news by my producer's daughter, Imagine that scarlett. Imagine you being away on tour and getting told by someone who isn't a family member that your sibling is married and everyone, the whole world knew before you" Michael says through tears

"I honestly didn't know, please don't cry baby you know I hate it when you're upset"

"if you hate it then why didn't you tell me?"
