worst start to the year

It's the 1st day of 1984 and I was happily watching tv whilst Michael was at rehearsals for a pepsi commercial and I get a phone call from Lucy, which I have a bad feeling about but I eventually get the guts to answer

"hey"

"hey, um I would ask about Disneyland but I don't wanna get your mood up then go and push it straight back down"

"what's wrong?"

"Mom and Dad"

"is he back in hospital?"

"no"

"then what's happened?"

"she bought Ben a car"

"she what!"

"not one from the local deal breakers either, a brand new one which by looking at it I think about 30% cheaper than Michael's but Joey said it's could possibly be just over the price of Michael's"

"Michael has a Rolls Royce through"

"this is a very posh looking car"

"well that isn't fair but that isn't my problem, my problem is how did she get the money"

"loan"

"she didn't...did she?"

"hate to say it but yes"

"ugh, where's everyone?"

"here, even Joey is"

"I'll be there asap"

I grab my phone and get Ricky and Patrick to take me in the limo, I know it's gonna be hard but I'll get them the drop me off at the end of the street and they can join Steve and Bill where Michael is doing the rehearsals. I can't believe she has done this, he is definitely only here for the money and is playing the victim act. Yes I know he is basically a victim but being this money grabbing is horrible and nasty.

I get dropped off at the end of the street and I stop walking when I get half way down, it stands out with it's expensive shine in the sun and just looks odd and out of place in this street. I get to the door and the man himself answers the door, I ignore him and walk pass him.

"what the hell are you playing at?" I yell to Mom as soon as I walk into the room and like a coward she point blank ignored me

"answer her, it's rude to ignore us all" Lucy yells

"stop yelling at her" Ben says

"shut up Ben, you're the one with the nice expensive car outside which has now put this household in massive debt" Joey yells

"that's enough, all of you! I've had enough of the arguments every single day around here. You all are as bad as one another, there's nothing that can be done it's happened now" Dad yells overruling the other yells that has gone on for about 40mins now, I'm sat in the corner shocked. I've never seen Dad so angry and yell so loud, it's actually scary.

"Jack there's no need to yell so loudly if you just heard me out I wouldn't of gone ahead and done it this way" Mom says

"I said enough!" he yells even louder and leaves the room

"done it this way? you shouldn't of even consider doing it" Joey says and we follow dad

"Dad where are you going?" Lucy asks

"I need fresh air" he opens the door and walks out, I push pass Lucy and Joey and follow him out

"Dad please" he turns around and looks at me then walks back down the drive to me
