"You 2 are on this year's pannel for comic con" David says to Beth and Ben

"awesome, 2nd year running" Beth smiles

"oh and you're coming too Scarlett"

"seriously? why only now tell me? you got the information back in March and it's now June"

"sorry, they emailed me this morning wanting you to be there"

"ugh fine, I'll go"

"thank you" he smiles and leaves

"you wanna go?" Ben asks me

"no but it looks like I got no choice"

"he can't make you go cause of Michael's treatment" Beth says

"I know but it's my job isn't it, how long will it be for anyway?"

"the week" Ben answers

"I'll talk to Michael about it this evening"

"how is he anyway?" Beth asks

"he's ok, getting used to the treatment. but his self esteem and confidence is getting low, he loves the steemed up mirrors cause he can't see himself in it" I frown as I stare at our wedding photo on my desk

"it's a horrible thing, I hope the media won't be horrible"

"me too but I don't see them being nice, they will make up rubbish it's the media"

"other celebrities have it too so if they do then you can say that to them" Ben says

"which is exactly what I plan on doing if it happens"

-evening-
"you ok? you seem quiet" Michael asks

"I'm ok, just a little annoyed with David"

"why?"

"well he's only now told me that I gotta do the comic con, baring in mind he knew about it since April and the event is next month"

"wow, well that's a bit a late notice"

"I know, it's for a week so I guess I gotta go to San Diego"

"it's lovely there, you'll love it"

"but I'm not gonna be here for a week"

"I'll be fine, I can get Janet or someone to come with me"

"promise? I don't want you going alone"

"I promise and if the worst comes to the worse I'll take Frank"

"alright then"

"it's gonna feel strange, I'm normally the one leaving"

"I know, it isn't for long through" I smile

"this means you can get me the new superman figures, cause they get early release at comic cons" he smiles brightly

"oh yeah which means new Batman ones"

"please remember the superman ones otherwise I gotta wait like 3 more months for them"

"I promise I won't forget them"

-2 weeks later-
I close my suitcase, today's the day I'm off to an event I don't even wanna go to. Michael has upped my mood on it by getting research and giving me stories of his past visits there and it has worked so I am more enthusiastic about it.

"babe, you all packed?" Michael asks entering the room

"yeah"

"the car, well bus will be here soon"
