I decided to not see family for Christmas as Michael was still upset with Don so I wanted to spend the day with him, yes it did feel strange but I still had a fun day. I wake up and see a piece of paper on Michael's pillow so I sit up and pick the paper and unfold it

'Good morning to my beautiful sunshine,

I'm sorry I'm not here but I had to go and meet Lionel for the lyrics of we are the world before the recording sessions start tonight. I'm not sure what time I will be home so I hope you have a fun day at work :)

p.s: I left pancakes for you by the cooker, just the way you like them'

I smile and put the note on my bedside table and I get out of bed and get dressed, once I get downstairs I find the pancakes and eat them before grabbing my coat and car keys then I head to work, when I get into work I'm the first one to arrive so I guess it's more quietness for me.

"hey" Beth smiles walking in

"hey" I smile back

"I saw Ben on my way in and he said he isn't in today"

"ok, just us two then"

"yep" I got some pencils and moved to the tables in the center of the room and Beth did the same "how am I meant to draw a robot? I've been trying for ages"

"just start off with the outline and 2 boxes one for the head and other for the body then take it from there, don't plan ahead or think about what you're gonna draw just left it come to you and draw itself naturally"

"ok" she smiled and then we got on with our work

"how's things?"

"it's going good, my sister just had a baby girl"

"aww congratulations, I'm due to be an auntie soon too"

"that's awesome, congratulations"

"thanks, so what's her name?"

"Stacey"

"so do you know if you're having a niece or nephew?"

"I don't know, Joey won't tell me they said it's a surprise"

"surprises are always better"

"yeah but I don't know what colour to buy, so I ended up with a Batman mini fleece blanket and some random bits and bobs"

"typical, trust you to get Batman"

"Michael got a dog plushie dressed up as Superman"

"so the kid is gonna grow up with them two superheroes"

"yeah but he or she is gonna like Batman more"

"I'd laugh if he or she will like Superman more or even better something completely different"

"that would be funny"

"so you and Michael having any kids soon?"

"not anytime soon, we haven't spoken about it since I think 81"

"wow, how many are you gonna have?"

"I want 3, Michael wants like 50"

"if he wants 50 then you better get to work" Beth laughs

"no, I persuaded him not that many but he still wants a big family even through we got a zoo which the animals he treats like their his children."
