Chapter Two

Trinity

I groan out as my alarm plays that stupid tone to wake me up. I hate that noise because of its association. First day of school, again, for the third time. School is alright, it's just really boring 'cuz I know pretty much everything. I'm an Alpha so life isn't too bad for me, though I don't have a mate. I get guys coming to me, wanting to date and stuff, but I'm not really into it y'know? Plus most people run off once they find out I'm an Alpha, 'cuz with Alpha females, we have male genitalia, and not female. Minus the boobs. Mine are pretty big, heh.

I shake myself from my thoughts and get out of bed, rubbing my eyes and my temples. Already I had about eight texts from eight different friends asking me if I could give them a ride or what my classes were. I was pretty much the most popular girl at school, and I knew it. I'm not an asshole about it though, I just act like a regular person, at least I think so.

I pick out my clothes, just some jeans and a slightly oversized hoodie. I'm too lazy to worry about what shirt I wanna wear right now, it's the first day anyways so who cares. I get in the shower and quickly wash my hair and stuff, which helps to wake up up for the day. Once I'm done I dress myself up in the clothes I picked earlier, push my teeth, and make sure my long, curly hair is in place. I catch myself staring at my reflection, lost in thoughts.

Sigh... my life would be perfect if I just found my mate... I really hope I find that person soon. I don't even care if it's a guy or a girl, I just want to be happy and make that person happy. Maybe it could happen this year? I would treat them like royalty, make sure that I could fix any problem they'd have. I'd be the perfect girlfriend.

I shake my head to break loose from my thoughts and walk out of the bathroom. I get my bag and make sure I've got all my books and stuff for school and all the stuff I carry in my pockets. Once I've got everything, I grab my bag and leave my room, waving goodbye to my parents. I jingle my keys as I walk towards my car, which was a dark red Dodge Challenger SRT8 with two black stripes. I know my family could afford a way better car for me, but I'd rather just have this car because I love it so much.

I turn the key and the engine comes to life with the low rumble of a muscle car. I back out of the driveway, and start heading towards the school without answering any texts. Not like I need to, most people already know the answers to them anyways. I put on some music, just enjoying the vibe of the dark morning and cool, rainy weather mixed with the music. I sing and think to myself quietly as I navigate through the neighbourhood, arriving at the school a few minutes later. I pull into my normal parking spot towards the back of the lot. I sigh to myself and turn the car off, get out, then lock it and walk into the school.

I'm instantly greeted by my main group of friends, to which I smile and greet them all back. They all go off about how their break was and whatnot, while just stood and listened. Some talk about how they found their mate, which kinda got me down, but I'm happy for them at least.

"You okay Trin?" My best friend Ash asks. God I love her like a sister, she can always see right through me.

"Yeah I'm fine. Just a bit lost in my thoughts about finding a mate and all that." I reply with a smile and a shrug. "I'll perk up more in the day." I reassure.

"Ah, you still haven't found one yet? I'm sure they'll be around soon." She says and smiles back, giving me a hug.

"Thanks Ash." I say. My group and I spend the rest of our free time in the morning just chatting and catching up on things we missed and stuff like that. Eventually one by one, they all leave for their classes for the day, until I'm left by myself. I say "by myself" ironically because everyone wants to be around me, but I meant my real friend group. I lean against the wall and chat with some others, before finally getting the notification that my class was starting soon. I wave goodbye to the people I was talking to, then head off in the direction of my class.
