The STAHP cast were sitting together in the main lounge, discussing and chatting about the horrors of school and the recent, fun memories of their summer. David shared the delightful moments he had with his "friend". Jackson had bragged about recently receiving a medal for taking first place at the All-State Honors Orchestra competition. Helena described her experiences at the Einstein Prodigy Academy Camp and how she had discovered a new species of bacteria. Corinne delightfully spoke of a Shrek convention she had attended a few weeks ago on a Saturday. Jose tried to build an armada in his backyard in order to invade his cousin's house, but failed (darn). Rijul boasted about trying out for soccer and winning a game with his new team.
"Ever since I was in a Writer's Block coma, the thought of discontinuing STAHP had crossed my mind." The others gasped, except Jackson. Jena had continued, "Fortunately for us, I have decided not to. I've had a lot of fun with all of you in the past and even up until now, so my decision is actually to continue STAHP." The others cheered while Jackson grumbled.
"What did you say, Jackson?" Corinne asked, crossing her arms.
He replied, "I didn't say anything. I just thought that STAHP is such a waste of time since Jena simply CANNOT write. I mean, have you counted all of the misspellings and grammatical errors? Not including-"
"Let me continue," Jena said interrupting him, "I understand that my editor-in-chief, whom shall still remain unnamed, isn't very suit for this job..."
Everybody nodded in agreement.
"...However, I do have a co-editor who would actually want to be named. She goes by Wenny and she will be mainly responsible for error checks in every chapter because let's be honest, the editor-in-chief sucks at this job, but he, she, or it has a family to take care of. And perhaps I can include Wenny in the story. That's what I was getting to, STAHP is going to be renewed. I won't spoil what exactly will be renewed. Since you are my cast, I can tell you all that [ERROR: CONFIDENTIAL] and that Jackson will [ERROR: CONFIDENTIAL], and unfortunately David will have to [ERROR: CONFIDENTIAL]."
Jackson exploded in anger and screamed at the top of his lungs, "Why?! You know I can't do that!"
"Calm down...jeez...at least you don't have to [ERROR: CONFIDENTIAL] like I have to," David said as he squinted at Jena with annoyance. He looked over to Rijul and saw a teasing smirk plastered on his often smug face.
"Wait so..when are you beginning your process of renewing?" Helena asked. Everybody remained silent as Jena pondered.
"Some time this week or next week. I am not sure though. I understand that all of us will be busy with school. Do you all think we have time to do this?" Jena asked.
"Of course! This is going to be as much fun as that time when I founded the Illuminati Resistance Club," Jose exclaimed.
"Is Hoden Sherk going to be in the story?" The Shrek-superfan, Corinne asked with hope glimmering in her eyes.
"I have tennis practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays and a life every other day..." Rijul sneered. Jackson nodded with Rijul, except that everybody knew Jackson was constantly busy with Itmund.
David began to chime in, "My goldfish, Tuna, is getting married on Saturday. I can make it Monday through Friday since Sunday is Cleo's birthday."
"Why is your fish getting married? Wait you never told us who Cleo was..." Helena said skeptically. David's face turned a bright shade of pink as the others snickered.
"I guess it's settled. We're going to be renewing STAHP," Jose exclaimed cheerfully.
Author's Note:
Dear Wonderful Friends,
I just wanted you to know that I miss you very much. STAHP reminds me of the wonderful moments we've shared, but I don't mean literally everything I wrote (which weren't even true events) I meant that STAHP has created many inside jokes for us to cherish. I guess that's what makes us friends, we are simply weird people who just want to a little fun. I miss our orchestra days even the days when Elana mentally judged everybody. I even missed the time when I embarrassed myself during the Holiday concert of 2017 with that solo part which Rijul clearly deserved.
I hate being so...so far away and I wish to come back, but I cannot. I refuse to spill details on a Wattpad story and I want to talk you all face-to-face and tell you how much I enjoyed our happy, laughable, fun, sorrowful, embarrassing, awkward, <insert adjective here>, and super weird moments during orchestra and outside even. Although I wasn't really close with some of you (you know who you are if you are reading this), I still cherish our moments and I don't care if they were bad or good, I cherish them all.
Writing this makes me so miserable. It took me weeks to recover from the realization that I was going to be far away from my friends for who-knows-how-long. I didn't want to mention this, but I did cry...a lot. I'm sorry I was distant, and I'm sorry to the ones I did not tell that I was moving. This is hard for me. I truly did want to discontinue STAHP because it pains me so much, but writing this story makes me feel like I am actually still with you.
Love and miss y'all,
Jena AKA "Confodent Violist"
