So...it's been a while.

Eclipsa yawned as she woke to the sounds of the garden out her window. She smiled and thought of how clever she was to make the rose tower her room. In the castle, she would never had such beauty around her.

She laid comfortably in her bed, swaddled in her covers and hoping no one would call her up when she heard knocking at her door. Alone time? Ha! Never.

She got up and brushed her hair back quickly with her hands. She opened the door to her unexpected visitor. "Oh! Shastican, what brings you here?"

"Good day, my friend! I don't think you'll mind taking a stroll with me?"

Eclipsa smiled. "Of course I don't mind. Just, give me a second and I'll be right there."

Shastican bowed and walked towards the garden. Eclipsa rushed to her closet and pulled out a simple gray dress. She put her hair up into a simple bun and a small silver flower clip on the side. Not so queenly but, the style fit her.

She walked out with her a wide smile, taking long strides and seeing Shastican with a confused face. He obviously thought she would come out in her queenly outfit.

"So, Shastican. What's exactly what you wanted to talk to me about?"

He cleared his throat as he sat down right next her on the bench. "Well, I've heard all about the uncertainty over the Monster issue and I've even heard...that you support them!" He burst into laughter. "It's ridiculous! Why would people say that!"

Eclipsa kept a stern expression. "Well, the rumors are true. I do support the monsters."

Shastican stopped laughing and looked confused. "W-what?"

"Yes. I've been working to get Monster Rights. Just imagine-"

"No no no, Eclipsa!" He got up, suddenly angry and Eclipsa's eyes widened. She had never seen him in such a state. "How can you do this to your people?! Don't you know all the damage that they have caused in the past years!"

"Calm down, Shasty. If you had seen all the things I have, you would understand. Just think about it: Monsters and Mewmans joining forces and stronger than ever. We can help each other out and it would be beneficial to both sides!"

Shastican sighed and shook his head. "Well, it's your kingdom and I won't do anything to stop you. But mark my words when I say that it won't be easy, maybe impossible to get a vote in your favor. Your condemning your kingdom to fall."

Eclipsa looked down. "It won't fall, alright? I know what I'm doing and I know what I have to do." She said confidently though inside she was stressing. She really didn't have a clue!

"Well...whatever you choose to do, I will...support you. Our friendship is stronger than our different views."

Eclipsa frowned. Maybe he was trying a little too hard, but she didn't mind some help for her cause.

"I must go now. Thank you for attending me."

"No problem Shasty."

"Also, don't call me that." He said and Eclipsa chuckled. 'Shasty' was his childhood nickname so it was understandable that he didn't like it now.

He left and Eclipsa breathed in the mixed scents from the garden. She watched as the birds flew around the small trees. It was really relaxing and for the millionth time, she was glad she decided to stay in the rose tower. It was the only place she could stay away from her responsibilities for a while.

"Hello, Queen Butterfly!"

"Hm? Oh, hi Mrs. Sally! How has your day been?" She asked the old servant. She was really sweet and has acted like a second mother ever since...well, since she could remember.

"Very fine! You know, we should make the most of each and every day, am I right?"

Eclipsa chuckled. "Yes ma'am. I think you're always right."

Mrs. Sally stopped sweeping and sat next to Eclipsa. "So, how has your day been?"

Eclipsa took a deep breath. "Very stressful, like always. I don't know how my mother dealt with all this pressure."

Mrs. Sally nodded. "She was a very wise woman. She had her ways and...made everything seem so easy. Queen Solaria was a true warrior."

Eclipsa stared at the rose bushes on the other side of the garden. Roses...her favorite flower. Even though she hated to admit it, her mother adored roses and her face lit up everytime she saw one. She was a true romatic as well, another thing only Eclipsa knew.

"I've been wanting to ask you, my Queen-"

"Just...call me Eclipsa. You've known me forever. I don't mind it."

"Of course My-I mean...Eclipsa. Anyhow, have you thought about, well, sharing your responsibilities with someone else?"

Eclipsa frowned. "Do you mean...marriage?" Mrs. Sally nodded. "Oh, no no no!" She said laughing. "I haven't had the time to focus on guys!"

"Well, I think our kingdom anxiously awaits who's our new king. We all, especially me, want to see our dear Queen happy...in her heart."

Eclipsa smiled at her. "Thanks Mrs. Sally. I'll keep that in mind and...give the kingdom what they want, but when I'm ready."

Mrs. Sally reached for her hand and looked at her dead in the eye. "I didn't want to tell you this to pressure you, alright? I've seen you grow and I feel almost if you were my own child. All I want is to see you happy. And if I were you, I would choose someone who's been with me for a long time. Someone who knows me well."

"Do you mean...like a friend?"

"Exactly."

Eclipsa thought for a minute. She didn't really have...friends. People were really nice to her but for some reason they would end conversations really quickly and she never got to bond.

Shastican...

She shook her head. She knew he was a good guy and he's supported her ever since ever, but she thought she could never see him as more than a friend. She frowned as a vague thought of someone unexpected passed through her mind. The Leader, Globgor.

She was about to laugh at the ridiculous thought. How could she make up such a thing?

"I don't want to focus on marriage in this moment, Mrs. Sally. I have so many other things to do first and, well, I don't want anything to go wrong if I become head over heels for someone, you understand?"

Mrs. Sally smiled. "Of course I do. Now, I have to go finish my chores! My granddaughter awaits me!" She was talking about her 5-year-old granddaughter who, after her mother's death, she had to look over and care for.

Eclipsa was once again left alone and thought about what Mrs. Sally said. It was time to find a king, but who? Hopefully she could find her significant other soon...

Welp, this was suppose to be up early this week, but the rain made lights go out and I had nowhere to write this. Thanks for reading and being so patient with me!
