Ch. 7

Khalid walks up to Jacob, who was just standing there, smirking. Khalid didn't want any issues today. All he ever wanted was to have a great time with his friends, not deal with Jacob.

"What do you want Jacob?" Khalid asked.

"Haven't you caused enough damage?" Ella Mai added.

Jacob walks up to her, as she stood nervously. Khalid gets in front of her.

"Stay away from her." He said.

Jacob laughs hysterically.

"Or what?"

Quavious walks up.

"You can get the Hell out my party fam."

"What?? I thought you were my homie." Jacob exclaims.

"Yeah, before I found out how much of an asshole you are." Quavious said.

"Bitch you didn't even know who this kid was 'til he fought me."

"You right, and now I know he doesn't wanna be bothered by you."

Jacob rolled his eyes.

"So y'all gone defend him?"

"Ya damn skippy." Trevor stood up.

Trevor and Jacob stood face to face. Jacob pushed him, and they began fighting. A bunch of security guards came swarming in. They separated the two, as Jacob was still trying to grab a whole of Trevor. Khalid watched as they're being carried away from each other. He, then, sat back down with his friends.

"Enjoying the party?" Jaden laughs.

Khalid playfully nudged him.

"Are YOU enjoying the party?" He smirks.

"Whoa, way to turn it on me."

Amandla and Khalid laughs.

"Man, thanks for taking us to this party." Jaden said.

"Yeah, we're having a great time." Amandla added, smiling at Jaden.

He smiles back.

"Hmmmm, I'm shipping Amandla Smith here." Said Khalid.

They laughed.

"Oh Khalid." Amandla giggles.

The rest of their friends came through. They look ready to go.

"Shall we dip?" Jorja asked.

"Alright y'all, let's go."

They began leaving. Khalid said his goodbyes to his homies, and got in his truck. He sits there for a moment. Ella Mai looks at him.

"Is everything okay?" She asked.

"Yeah, just thinking about the wonderful people I call friends."

They smiled.

"Awwww." Gabi says.

"We're happy to have you as a friend." Jorja added.

"So... What y'all wanna do now?"

"We should totally go to the beach." Amandla answered.

"Yeah, I think that's a great idea." Ella Mai added.

"Well, the beach it is."

He started his truck, and drove off. The beach was some miles away, so it was a long ride. Silence filled the SUV. Ella Mai broke the silence with Khalid.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

She puts her arms around him. She rubs on his arm, making Khalid feeling comfortable. It's as if they are in love. They are. Every moment they've spent together, they always grow closer together. Khalid never felt that way before. He puts his arm around her, and continues the drive.

Khalid parks his Expedition by a restaurant at the beach. Everyone exited the truck. They grabbed their beach towels, and beach supplies. They sat their things on the sand. Gabi, Alessia, and Jorja sat on their beach towels. Ella Mai, Khalid, Jaden, and Amandla took a walk on the beach together.

"So is the ship is sailing?" Ella Mai smiles.

Amandla laughs.

"I don't know... maybe?"

She looks at Jaden. He just smiles.

"The ship is sailing." He answers.

"Right on my bro!" Khalid exclaims.

"Awww I'm so happy for y'all!" Ella Mai added.

Jaden and Amandla smiles. She was blushing.

"Well Ella Mai and I are about to take off." Khalid tells them.

They nodded, and took a different way. Ella Mai and Khalid are now left alone. They were walking in silence for a while. They were soaking up the moment, and the sun. Ella Mai stood closer to Khalid, as he stretched his arm around her. They stopped, and stood in front of the ocean. She lays her head on his chest.

"Khalid?" She started.

"Yeah?"

She opens her mouth to speak, but paused. What she was about to say would change everything. She couldn't hold back any longer. Khalid looks into her eyes.

"Something's wrong?" He asked.

"No." She said.

She hugs him. He hugs her back, laying his head on hers. She felt comfortable enough to say it.

"Khalid, I love you."

He stopped hugging her, and looked at her.

"You do?"

"Yes."

He smiles.

"I love you too, Ella Mai."

She smiles, and dropped her head on his chest. He hugs her some more. She looks up, and kissed him.

Meanwhile...

Jaden and Amandla walks together on the walking bridge. The sun was setting. It was a beautiful scenery to them. They stood there, staring at the sunset together. They were enjoying each other's company.

"Wow, never thought the day would come." Amandla said.

Jaden looks at her.

"What you mean by that?"

"Us, sitting side by side... close together."

"Oh."

He looks back at the sunset. He thinks of some things to say.

"I have a confession to make." He started.

"You ate my Pringles the other day did you?"

He didn't say anything.

"Oh you asshole!"

Jaden laughs.

"Oh nah, that's not it... and I only had one chip."

"Whatever Jaden." She rolls her eyes, laughing.

"Nah but for real though."

"Okay what's your confession?"

"I did used to like you... back in middle school." He admitted.

She looks up at him.

"You did?"

"Yup."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

He sat there, thinking.

"I was too scared to even tell you."

She grabbed his hand.

"Funny, I was on that same boat."

"Really?"

"Yes, I've been crushing on you for a while."

He holds her hand, looking into her eyes.

"I'm glad we're taking this moment."

"Me too, Jaden." Amandla smiles.

They continued watching, as the sun kisses the ocean.
