"Hey Mark, how was your day?" Eli asked. Mark and Eli had finally finished their first day of high school, and were walking home togther.
"Believe it or not, I had quite the epiphany today Eli," Mark replied.
"And what, may I ask, was your 'epiphany'?" Eli mockingly inquired.
"I've decided to not date this year"
"Seriously?"
"Seriously."
"Wow," Eli replied. "That's funny, because I was thinking about doing that exact same thing."
"How funny!" Mark exclaimed. "We can be single together! That way we won't have to be awkward third wheels around our stupid friends that are dating!"
"What an ingenious plan, Mark! Let's do it!"
"Yes, let's!"
They thought that by avoiding dating, they would be safe from love. But what they would later discover was that love will always find a way to appear, no matter how you try to avoid it.
