We walked across the bridge to the edge to see the reflection of the sunset in the clear water.

"How did you even find this place?"

"We were travelling last year and I had a panic attack. My dad asked the driver to stop the car on the way, We ended up stumbling upon this place and I don't know what it was but I started to calm down".

We sat and just watched the sun go down, no one said a word but it wasn't an uncomfortable silence.

It's times like these where I realise we're always here for each other, good or bad. We can't take all the pain away but we sure can soothe it.

Silent tears streamed down Shanaya's face and we just sat there hugging her.

"Shanaya I love you and all but your leg is crushing mine", Hayley said slightly groaning in pain.

"Dude I'm crying! I'm in pain!", She retorted, secretly smiling at Hayley's way of handling sadness, or "the art of frowning and crying" as she quotes.

"I'm in pain too, your leg weighs equal to an elephant ".

Feigning hurt Shanaya says, "I can't believe you said that! You declared that I was beautiful and that you love me"

"You are my one true love, you are the most beautiful specimen I have ever seen", Hayley said going along with the act.

"Specimen? Really?"

"I don't know it just came to my mind..."

"Why am I even friends with you guys?", Caleb asked weirded out.

"Cause you finally wanted to have people who were better than you and could make you feel a little less pathetic about yourself ", Hayley said with an innocent smile.

Caleb was about to reply but of course, Hayley didn't let him get a word out as she started singing, "I can't hear you! dadarah! I can't hear you!".

Walking away he started muttering to himself, "I don't even know why I try with her...I just...UGH!"

"I feel bad for the poor guy, he can't keep up with Hayley and her extravagance "

She really is too extravagant for the world, My best friends are too insane to understand the normal world which is why love them...Normal is just too boring.

Skipping back to the bus, I see a girl sitting on a bench bawling her eyes out. She answers her ringing phone and I notice her the suitcase next to her, "I'm not coming back for the rest of the tour, I don't need refunds or anything...just don't call back"

"What in the world of barbecues are you doing? We need to go, now is not the time to daydream", Hayley said with 'duh expression

"Just give me a sec. Okay?", I don't give her a chance to respond as I start heading over to the girl, I kneel down next to her and she looks up at me surprised.

"I realise this looks like I'm about to propose to you so I'm just gonna sit down on the bench, I don't know what exactly is going on with you but you came all the way here to have fun so come and hang out with me and my friends while we discover the land of the free", She looks at me warily and I motion towards my friends who are staring at me oddly and say, "I know it sounds like the start of a scary kidnapping movie but really it's the start of a beautiful and excitingly scary friendship".

For some reason, she looks at me in the eye for a second and says"Okay".

I feel like this trip is going to be a long, exciting and terrifying, We're definitely making memories.

An hour later

Alex's POV

"Your drunk."

"For the last t-time I Kaylee Marella Cortez am not d-drunk", she says slurring her words due to the obvious which is that she is drunk.

I look at my girlfriend try to stand on her own two feet without falling like a six-year-old and it's the most hilarious thing I have ever seen. I prop her up on to my shoulders and we plunder through the club trying to find the others and for sure we land up at the corner where Caleb is trying to calm and sober up Shanaya and Kayra while Hayley sits on the other end of the couch reading and oblivious to the commotion.

Apparently, Kayra studied in Kaylee's school but they never met...I guess they met by fate or Kaylee's inability to ignore strangers.

There have been times where she walked up to a random stranger crying and just hugged them...what was crazier was that the stranger didn't get weirded out.

"Okay so coming to this club was a horrible plan and I told everyone a hundred times but no they never listen ...I need you to repeat this Kaylee", Caleb said bringing me back to reality.

"I'm pretty sure the girl you've been eyeing lately is who insisted on coming here".

"Kim Kardashian did not insist on coming here"

"You really wanna play this game?"

"How did you guys get in anyways?

I look at Caleb with a 'seriously-your-gonna-try-to-switch-the-topic?' look.

"I guess we all look about 21"

Knowing that I'm not getting anything out of him I walk away and call Hayley to help Kayra back to the bus. Kaylee whispers something and when I lean down to hear she repeats "Don't leave!NO!", I quickly cradle her further into my chest and she slowly awakes.

"I'm sorry", she says as if there's something she actually needs to apologise for.

"What are you saying sorry for?"

"I don't know"

It was so like her to be drunk and still take responsibility for something she didn't do.

"Maybe you have your pills and get some shut eye?"

"O-okayy", she replies drowsily.

After she takes her pills she finally breathes and falls fast asleep .

Knowing she won't remember or hear any of this I make a confession, "I would have never left in the first place If I had know that you would have ended up like this".
