Through the ringing of my ears, the throbbing of my head, and the dancing black dots going across my vision, I saw Taehyung staring down at the puppet, his mouth slightly agape as he stared at it with shock. I could feel my own shock take over my body, my heart thumping in my chest rapidly.

"Loading data," a voice said, the voice higher than Taehyung's but lower than mine. It sounded smooth, perfect in a way. It made my body shudder slightly as the ringing within my ears died down.

I gave a sigh, trying to shake off my nerves. I lifted my throbbing head away from the metal table, reaching a hand up to press against my forehead with the bottom of my palm. I felt I press with an unbearable force to get rid of the rattling of my brain. I bit onto my lip, keeping in the whimpers that burned against my head. This wasn't my first head injury.

"Data complete. Voice password."

"Y/N."

My hand instantly slammed down on my lap, forgetting all about my throbbing head. My eyes turned towards Taehyung, glaring with an intense force. I was met with Taehyung grinning down at me, obviously finding the password.

"Please repeat password for confirmation."

"Y/N."

"Taehyung, stop it," I hissed, reaching my hand up to the table top, grabbing onto the cold metal. Started to hoist myself up, holding back my nausea and dizzy vision.

Taehyung just laughed as he watched me get up, thinking his password was the funniest thing in the world. "Just thought I would use the same password as I do for all my other puppets."

I felt my face flush up with a mighty fire, my hand keeping me stable against the table I was at. "Don't do that!"

"Puppet to Affluent 563: Natural in District: Technology."

I looked over to the puppet, my breath being caught in my throat once more. It couldn't sit up due to regulated puppet design, but its eyes were staring up at the ceiling. I stared at them, finding them small in a cute way. They were dark, emotionless like most puppets'. It seemed to be in working order.

"I just turned that thing on," I murmured, now barely noticing the throbbing in my head. My face was calming down from the heat, but I could feel my legs were a bit wobbly. "It's switch is supposed to be in the cheek, next to its last, left molar."

Taehyung's joking was gone now, his eyes staring at the puppet with a mixture of confusion and curiosity. "That's odd. Do you have an idea of what model it is?"

"Hello?" the puppet said, cutting off Taehyung and I's conversation. Its voice rang through the sterile air, the room dead silent.

"Hello?" it said again. I caught a glimpse of it moving its hand, then its foot. I felt my eyes widen. It was learning quick. Puppets were usually unable to work until taught.

"Code name," I said, watching the puppet some more. The hand closest to me was moving its fingers, checking each one as it went.

"Who's there?"

I was taken back by its answer. I felt my eyes widen in my surprise. I reached my hand up, placing it on the back of my neck gently. It was supposed to give me a name option. This wasn't supposed to happen.

"C-Code name," I said again, my voice coming out shaky this time. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Taehyung peer over at me, a concerned look on his face. I ignored it, watching the puppet closely.

"What's happening? Whoever is there, please help me."

"Code name!" I yelled this time, my voice coming out forceful. I felt my body start to quiver, my legs starting to give out underneath me as I held myself against the metal table. My heart was beating faster in my chest by the moment.
