Violet may have been a super-hero, but all the powers in the world couldn't help her with homework. Unless she set it on fire or something, but that would set her grades on fire in return. Not only was the maths difficult, but she found herself constantly distracted. It wasn't like she had been lying earlier - well she told Wilbur she didn't like Tony, but he had enough braincells to read through the lines to see she was chatting absolute bullshit. No, it wasn't that. She did like Tony, but he'd always been so unattainable. He was extremely charismatic, and popular, and she was awkward and shy and slightly bitter.

But Wilbur - well there was something about Wilbur that kept bringing her attention back to him. Maybe it was that stupid cowlick, or the crap jokes, but more often than not she couldn't help but replay his disappointed expression when he figured out she liked Tony. For lack of a better term, he looked like a kicked puppy. And it made her feel awful.

Her dark cloud of gloom was broken by a small blonde figure rushing into the room at breakneck speed. Dash.

"What is it?" Violet groaned, resisting the urge to throw her text book at her irritating brother; holding back only as she could tell had something important to tell her.

"There's been a break-in. Dad says the Incredibles are the only ones who can help!" Violet fought the urge to smile. His optimism really was quite endearing sometimes. Dash then started bouncing around the room in his Incredibles suit, and suddenly all the endearing traits wore off.  Grabbing his arm to stop him, Violet asked her brother, "A break in where?"

"Robinson's Industries."

She beat Dash to the door.

Wilbur stared at his forgotten homework on the floor. I'm not even going to bother, he concluded, as he stepped over the book and turned instead to the shower. After several minutes of warm water trickling down his back, the dark haired boy felt immediately more relaxed, yet still couldn't shake a certain pair of blue eyes from his memory. This is ridiculous, I really am acting like a moping boyfriend, he thought to himself, trying not to blush at the implications.  Suddenly a bleeping noise rang through the house, quiet at first but it gradually got louder and louder until it was almost deafening. He shot his head up. Someone was breaking in.

In almost no time at all, the Incredibles had arrived at the scene, and made their way over to where the Robinson family stood huddled in a small group off to the side. Franny was handing out blankets to the elder members of the Robinson clan, and was checking in on everyone to ensure everyone was doing okay. Mr. Robinson walked past all of this to Mr. Incredible and started speaking hurriedly about how important his inventions were in the room the alarm had been triggered in. Mr. Incredible placed his hands on the frantic scientist's shoulders.

"Listen, I understand that you are upset, but you must think about your family. Are they all alright?" Mr. Robinson glanced briefly behind him, before turning back to Mr. Incredible.

"Yes. Now please, if this invention falls into the wrong hands..." Reluctantly, Mr. Incredible nodded, and headed off to the building that been broken into, Dash hot on his heels. Elastigirl looked past the inventor and saw his wife crying out. "My son is still in there!"

With this new factor to take into consideration, a plan was quickly formed. Elastigirl went to open the doors that had been put on lockdown, and Violet offered to find Wilbur and help him out. As for Jack-Jack, Edna had offered to babysit him whenever the family was off on missions, so they had dropped him off before they arrived. Within seconds, they had split up, and Violet  ran into the building in order to find Wilbur. It wasn't because she liked him, or had any sort of difference towards him. It was her job as a super to go save him, nothing more, or at least that's what she told herself as she darted through corridors calling his name.

It was only when the doors started to slide to a close when Wilbur realised something. He was still in his towel.

Overcome with embarrassment, he tried to dash to his bedroom, but the alarm doors came down too fast, leaving him trapped in the corridor, with just a towel on. I hope they let me out soon, thought Wilbur, as I really don't want to be seen like this in front of  my mum. Honestly I'd rather the robber find me first. Wilbur dragged a hand down in face in despair and resisted the urge to bang his head against a wall. With a start, Wilbur realised that someone was softly calling his name. Violet? It sounded almost identical to her, but then again she'd been on his mind all evening, so it was probably his mind fucking with him. Instead, round the corner came Invisigirl, who, after seeing him, blinked three times and started to blush.

Oh shit, he's not got a shirt on. Thought Violet, as she tried desperately to look at his eyes as she asked him if he was alright. He seemed equally as uncomfortable as he avoided her gaze, and politely asked if she could turn around, evidently so he could yank up his towel which was draped dangerously low across his waist.

The girl in red spandex turned back around when told all was clear, and promptly explained the situation, her face as red as her suit. Wilbur was sure that they matched.

"Umm...so my mu- so Mrs. Incredible is going to unlock the doors any minute to let me out, and will let your bedroom door be unlocked too, so you can go get some...clothes." It felt weird to call her mum by her hero name, but it was all for professionalism of course. She didn't usually directly talk to the people she was saving, hence the slip-up.

"Gottit." There was an awkward silence, in which Violet pretended to be extremely interested in the floor. She had seen a guy's chest before, when her family had gone swimming, but not like this. This was different. This was Wilbur. And something about that made her heart beat ever more furiously.

Suddenly, his voice broke through the silence. "Hey, um, thank you, back there, for rescuing me."

"Just doing my job!" Joked Violet, but she wasn't sure how much of those words she believed anymore.

Breaking the teen's train of thought, the bedroom door suddenly opened with a click. Elastigirl had opened it up for them. Wilbur went in, and Violet couldn't help but breath a sigh of relief that this awkward situation had come to pass. Everything would be fine. He'd find some damn clothes, and show her the way out, or she could show him some badass moves or -

"I can't find any t-shirts."

Great.

A/N wow the universe just fucking hates them huh
