Scene 18: Watching

After their vacation, Prem and Wad formed a stronger bond. They returned to their respective dorm with calm and civil relationship but trust and reliability was there. They have three more days before the classes resume.

Prem was in the bathroom and was looking in front of the mirror. A black nylon string with a copper colored cogwheel was hanging around his neck. The letters and number "IE.59" were engraved on the gear. He lifted his left hand and a similar gear was wrapped around his wrist. It has leather-like style with a cogwheel attached on it as well. Similarly, it has the engraved characters "IE.57".

"I'll take care of your heart until the end." Prem whispered to himself while rubbing the gear hanging around his neck, the gear of Wad, his heart.

Prem's phone rang and snapped him back to reality.

Ai'Bright is calling..

Prem rolled his eyes but answered the call anyway. "What?"

"Ai'Prem! Back from your honeymoon?"

"Wha--!?"

"Join us later for drink. Ai'Arthit will be mad if we're not complete. See you at 7pm, the usual one. Bye!"

Before Prem could even respond, Bright ended the call.

"That idiot." Prem couldn't stop but to drop an insult to his crazy friend.

He knew he shouldn't let his friends down so he started to prepare before going to the same bar they usually go to. However, he didn't also forget to inform a certain someone.

P'Prem: I'll go out drinking with the gang. What're you going to do today?

Wad, on the other hand didn't read the message right away because he was playing basketball in a nearby court.

Prem arrived at the venue with his casual attire, black tee, jeans and white rubber shoes. Bright waved at him.

"How was your vacation my friend?" Bright started.

"It's cool." Prem simply replied then he took one bottle of beer.

"Oho! Don't tell me you scored some tourist babe there? You, selfish bastard." Bright, can't stop his mouth as usual.

Prem only shakes his head and smirked at his friend.

"So it is true? You got a girl there Ai'Prem?" This time, Arthit asked.

"I did not. [Though I did have his heart unconsciously]" Prem can't help but flash a smile.

"Oho, but you look alive and shining like the sun we have here my friend. Are you sure you did not throw your seeds to anyone?" Bright teasingly said while moving his eyebrows up and down and looking at Arthit. The other hazers had their eyes wide open with his remark, thus, gaining a smack on his head, arm and toes.

"Oww! Why do you always resort to violence? That's why all of you need someone to tame you." Bright said while rubbing the back of his head and his right shoulder.

The hazers would like to give him another beating but stopped when Bright yelped.

"Kongpob! Wad!"

Prem and Arthit immediately turns their heads and they saw the juniors together. A few seconds later, Aim, Oak and Tew arrived as well and greeted Kongpob and Wad.
