Sorry for the long update, a hurricane arrived in my area, and I was preparing for that. Now I'm back. XD

Naruto's P.O.V

After my panic attack subsided, I mustered up the strength to officially open the door. I was nearly blinded by the invasive light coming from the room. It was one of these moments that made me really feel like this was a new chapter in my life. I could feel the impending doom approaching me as I slowly walked into the room.  In movies, when one experiences something close to death, isn't there always someone beside them that screams out, "Don't go near the light". And, then you realize you are doing the exact opposite of that. I'm having that feeling right now. I can feel my unnatural heartbeat resume to match that of any human in fear.

Being part incubus, my heartbeat is naturally slower than a human's, but if anyone were close enough to my chest, they'd hear a normal heartbeat of a healthy young boy. I dared not to look into the eyes of my future classmates'. I could feel the heat of stares digging into my back. I remained resilient and kept my head forward directly towards the teacher.

An angry teacher with thick, round, but surprisingly small set lazily on the sharp edge of his nose. His hands were on his hips, showing clear signs of frustration and anger. I looked up towards him and handed him the note that Jiraiya gave me to. He snatched from my hand, scanning over it vigorously, probably suspecting some type of forgery. Giving up on his accusation, he sighed.

"This is your first day in our school. Mr....." He goes and grabs his clipboard on his desk, scanning a list of names, "Mr. Uzumaki. You are a month behind on your curriculum for this year because of your 'illness'".

The way he spoke the word illness, with such false sincerity, makes me believe he really did not believe I had. Inwardly, I felt slightly offended for not believing in my condition and assuming I was lying to get out of doing school work, but he was right. I was faking an illness, but he didn't need to know that, so I presumed my expression of defensiveness.

He cleared his throat, and handed back the principal's note, "Do not be late again. I will excuse you, today, because you brought me a note, but do not expect the same treatment again. The principal may control the school, but this is my class, and I will not have disturbances. Understand?"

I nodded, scratching the back of my head, he spoke with such authority, I could only chuckle. Not used to humans speaking to me in such a way.  He gestured for me to find a seat, so he could continue class.

I tried not looked directly at anyone as I walked toward an empty seat. I could sense many different supernaturals around me. Some, I never seen before out of fairy-tale books or legend encyclopedias. Most of the books I read were written by humans, but that didn't mean there weren't truth to them. Humans generally depicted supernaturals with stereotypes and legendary facts from other human ancestors, and most of the information that got were either  false or manipulated by a supernatural. For instance, werewolves aren't weak to silver, but they do have minor sensitivities to silver, similarly to when a person is allergic to a cat or pollen.

As a supernatural, most can sense when another supernatural is around, but because I came from my dumbass father, who couldn't even detect a nymph out-of-water, I could sense another supernatural, but I couldn't detect exactly what type of supernatural they were, unless I met their kind before, then I could recognize the aura and with deduction I could figure out what they were, but there are quite a lot of supernaturals I am still yet familiar with. One of the cons when you are homeschooled most of your life.
