hmmm...hmm...hmm...

This sound...it was beautiful. I could feel the vibrations penetrate my ears...the smoothest symphony soon became stronger.  It felt so real, so deep. What this my voice? Why am I singing?

I could feel my body moving, gliding, effortlessly, like I was floating.

The soothing voice became deeper, intercepted by the sound of effervescent.

Bubbles momentarily invade my vision. Another sound picks up from the distance. Splashing?

I felt so light, so warm, like my skin was wrapped in a blanket. My body felt rejuvenated, almost reborn.

The splashing persisted, my body moving towards the direction of the intruding sound. The angelic voice tagging along.

My body stopped once I reached the destination. I stopped all movement, sinking deeper and deeper into the blanketed abyss that surrounded me, my mouth agape.

I could taste salt....liquid...nature....prey...

Once my body sunk as far as it could, it struck above, pushing towards the surface like a torpedo.

The next moment....splashes.....the color red....the screams...

Everything went black.

Rrrrinnnngggg......Rrrinnnnggg...rrrinnnngggg. Was it time for me to wake up, already?

The ringing persisted. I turned around and slammed my alarm up.

...or what I thought was my alarm clock. My hand slammed against what felt like a rock. I winced and immediately brought back my hand to my chest to soothe the dull pain.

I sat up, almost regretting it. It felt like someone bulldozed over my head. The pain reminded me of the time, I managed to steal a bottle of liquor in the cabinet that Iruka would keep locked. I drunk the whole bottle, despite only tasting alcohol once in my life. I felt like dying afterwards. I puked for days.

But this pain, it felt so much worse. I groaned and rubbed my head. My eyes were blurry from sleep or lack of sleep. I could not tell. I looked around trying to find that terrible ringing noise. Eventually, I felt the vibration in one of my pant's pocket. I patted down the pockets, looking for the one that contained that dreadful noise. Feeling something bulky in my left pocket, I shot my hand inside and grabbed the contraption.

It was my phone. I nearly rolled my eyes from my stupidity, but stopped before my headache worsened.

Iruka's name briefly flashed on the touch screen before it went away. I missed the call. 32 calls to be exact.

"32 CALLS!" I yelled, my heart speeding up in my chest. What time was it? I glanced at my phone. 1:03 pm.

"How long was I out?" I thought, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. Now, fully awake, I got up. That's when I recognized where I was, or where I thought I was. Trees and shrubs were surrounded me. I was in a shady, mossy area, the sun just now peaking through the trees. I looked around, trying to recognize a forest landmark that I might know to help me find my way back home.

I walked forward, before I hit a bump and nearly collided into the ground before I slapped my hands in front of me to break my fall. I looked down towards what I tripped over, slightly annoyed that nature was cursing me the minute I wake up.

The branch laid their innocently, like it was mocking me. It was conveniently shaped like an arrow, which caused me to go speechless. Right next to the branch, laid a mass of what looked like a torn carcass. Initially, what I thought was a forest animal.

It was no forest animal. The skull took that conclusion and shredded it. The skull of the carcass, still had pieces of flesh attached to it, half of a nose and an eye. The eye was staring at me, penetrating my soul, full of permanent fear. I continued to stare, my breathe was the only thing I could hear, everything drifted into silence. The rushing water, the rustling leaves, the birds.

The eye moved. I flinched, backing up, afraid to break contact. It popped out, a bug crawling through it. It rolled near me, I followed it's movement, until it hit the tip of my shoe. It was looking right at me...

"AHHHHHHHH!!!!" Immediately getting up, I turned around to run, hitting the tree branch that cut my arm, but I didn't stop running. My heart was pounding so hard, I was so scared. What happened? Who was that? I keep running, looking back checking to see if anything was chasing me. I missed a step, nearly breaking my ankle. I toppled over and rolled down a heal, until a thick muddy surface broke my fall, covering me head-to-toe in mud.

About to get up, I stopped, crashing my knees to the ground. I saw my reflection in a puddle. I couldn't recognize myself. I opened my mouth, fearfully. Sharp teeth gleamed back out me. I snapped my mouth closed. Tears building in my eyes, blurring my vision. What scared me the most, was the blood that was stained on my face. It wasn't mine, it was old. Stained. Crackle and dry. The mud hid parts of it. I slowly looked over myself. My shirt had grass stains, dirt, mud, and massive amounts of blood all over it.

I tried to remove my shirt, struggling, crying harder, hyperventilated. The shirt stuck to me like glue, like a reminder of what I've done. Angry and tired, I shredded the shirt off, threw it in the water, and just continued running.

What did I do? What did I do? What did I do? What did I do?

"What did I do!" I couldn't even think, I just kept repeating that phrase running through the forest. My tears smeared into the mud on my face.

I don't even remember how I found my way back to the house. I don't even remember unlocking the door. I don't remember a damn thing! What happened?! What did I do? What can't I remember? Am I that much of a fucking idiot! What's wrong with me?!

I don't remember turning on the shower. I don't remember taking my clothes off. I do remember scrubbing. I do remember falling into fetal position on the ground, tearing the shower curtain as it hung limply from the shower rod.
