Kuroko Marry's POV
Flashback
I remember the day where it all began...
from him to me...
It started one afternoon where all the players were busy training for themselves, not as a whole.
It was all began when my beloved teammates started to... see their own potentials and thought of not helping each other to become one so it started drifting apart from each other.
I was the only one left behind. senpai was right... its all my fault.
"Marry."
I turned my head to where the person called out my name. He was standing by the door of the gym where everyone already went home and I was the only one left behind. I was a manager. and a player at that time.
From the start I was always been a Team B, I never planned this. I never expected to moved to Team A where I will be with my cousin. Their soon to be captain- Akashi Seijuro.
From the beginning, I never liked him.
"I cant believe that you're the one cleaning up. So it is true that team B was never good enough, they are not disciplined and they do not take their role properly." He said bluntly which made me sad and angry inside but I didn't showed it because I believe that me and my teammates were trying our hardest to be greater than his teammates in terms of discipline and determination.
I faked a smile and turn my attention to him.
"What are you talking about? I just happened to picked up the balls." I said with a smile where infact im not. Not at all.
With his sharp eyes dotting me and through my soul, I never gave in my fear of him backlashing my teammates again.
The sun was out and the night came in where the only source of light is where I am standing. I was at the center of the court and the light was the full moon coming from the roof, I could only see the half of his face yet I could see his piercing eyes. Soon he finally went out of the darkness and looked me intently in the eyes which made me gave in and gulped with nervousness.
I know what he was thinking.
Right at this moments I could feel what he's going to say.
"I already transferred you to my team. Pack your things and headed directly to the gym at-"
That day was the start of my downfall. Not as a player, but also my capabilities...
Because of their arrogance, it put me on a difficult spot. I was alone at that team, but don't get me wrong, I was happy that they are wanting to be friends with me. But in terms of sports, there is no turning back.
I remember the time when one of his teammates stopped me to talk to me about something... I think it was Kise-kun.
"Marichi! come here for a sec!" He waved at me with smile plastered on his face. He was the first person whom I closed with since I haven't really gotten to know the other clubmates which is really fine because I want to keep my distance with them because I was not planning to be a team A manager since the start of this whole incident.
"Where are we going Kise-kun? We are walking too fast!" I said as we skip our way to the hallway since its afternoon for club meetings and there are not much students anymore so we glided out of that hall and ended up in the first gym where the team A uses for their training and such.
"Close your eyes for a sec Marichi! hurry!" He excitedly put his palm on my eyes instead of waiting for me to close them.
"What is it that you want to show me Kise-kun? I have papers to take..."
as we went inside the gym, he helped me walk somewhere until he made me stopped from walking and slowly removed his palm on my eyes. at first I adjusted my sight, until I saw what is ahead of me...
WELCOME TO TEAM A KUROKO MARRY!!
It was written in poor bold handwriting and random designs in the corners of their blue banner which made the colors of the designs come out poorly because it does not match with the color of the banner. I used my eyes to travel around our surroundings, it was just at the corner of the gym yet it filled with confettis, balloons and a chair in the middle which where it places a stack of cupcakes with different colors of frostings.
I looked at the people who are present in the small surprise. Everyone was there especially my cousin, Akashi Seijuro and the happy rainbow-haired bunch who are all smiling at me.
At first I gave them all a weird look as to why would they waste their time on something like this, I was confused until Nijimura Shuzo spoke.
"You looked confused Kuroko-san. This is just a late welcoming party for you since your first day is our match with the other school and we are not here, so thats why we did not able to throw you one. So... surprise?" Nijimura-senpai said and all of them cheered another surprise and act like they surprised me the first time.
I was quiet at first, but soon I got infected by their act of effort and smiles and laughed. Soon the gym were filled with teasing and laughter.
I guess my stay at the team A is not that bad afterall.
and that is what I thought...
