LAUREN

"Ello, Lauren."

Liam and Harry stand behind the dusty counter wearing fake glasses and top hats.

"What are you guys doing?" I laugh.

"Pfft, nice shirt." Liam says. I glance down at my shirt and scoff at the writing of 'Mrs Tomlinson.'

"Louis chose my outfit."

"Aawww, I ship you guys already."

I look at Harry very strangely although Liam looks like he is used to Harry's weird comments.

"What's with the hats and glasses?"

"Getting into the librarian character." Liam says.

"Sooooo, are you guys crashing my date?"

"Of course not Lauren, Louis has put lots of thought and planning into this date and we are part of it."

Harry comes over to me, takes my hand and bows. "If you would come with me, my lady?"

Just as I'm about answer a cough interrupts me.

"Louis' lady." Liam looks away as if he hasn't said anything making Harry laugh.

I'm quite surprised at Liam's actions, he isn't normally joking around while I'm in the room.

Harry escorts me to a back room and opens a cupboard full of books.

He starts to walk away and I grab his shoulder. "Harry, what are you doing?"

"Trust me, you'll know which one to pick."

Without saying goodbye he shuts the door quietly behind him and the sound of his footsteps fade away.

I sigh and look back at the cupboard.

What is so special about these books? I start from the top shelf and look for... whatever it is I'm looking for?

A small colourful sticker catches my attention on a thick spine of a book.

It's a soccer ball with love hearts on it.

I pull out the book and see that the front has a blue sparkly note stuck to it.

Peeling off the sticky tape I see the title of the book in fancy writing.

The Notebook.

I open the letter from Louis.

I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT YOU LOVE THIS MOVIE AND I THOUGHT IT WAS ABOUT TIME YOU READ THE BOOK, OPEN UP TO THE FIRST PAGE, THERE IS A SURPRISE. - LOUIS X

Shoving the note into my purse I open up the book to see the first page with a message.

I KNOW YOU LIKE THE BACK OF MY HAND LAUREN, WE'VE SPENT SO MUCH TIME TOGETHER. MORE THEN AN ORDINARY FRIENDS WOULD.

GO TO PAGE 10.

I follow the instruction and flip through the pages. On the corner of the page under all the writing from the book is a message.

THROUGHOUT THIS BOOK ARE MEMORIES WE HAVE TOGETHER AND THE LITTLE THINGS THAT I LOVE ABOUT YOU. - LOUIS X

I open up the book to a random page.

WHEN WE GOT ICE CREAM IN THE PARK, IT WAS OUR FIRST TIME GETTING CALLED A COUPLE BUT WE WEREN'T, YOU REACTED IN THE BEST WAY.

I smile thinking of the memory.
