AN: haven't even written it yet, but I can it's going to be pretty short. Even shorter than usual. Well as usual as you can get, this is still only the third chapter. With my ideas and everything there just isn't that much going into this chapter. But yeah. Enjoy! maybe. Hopefully. Tell me what you think! If you'd like to. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if my authors notes end up longer than my actual chapters. So maybe I should stop now.

Rose's POV
I can feel Scorpius's eyes boring into my skull. I refuse to look at him. We've been sitting here for the past 3 minutes in silence. I have no intention of even talking to him. And no one can make me. It's just not going to happen. Simple.
I hear the door open yet again and finally in comes Professor McGonagall.
"Rose, Scorpius, very sorry to keep you waiting, but everything's sorted now, so let's get to business!"
She seems way too cheerful. It just doesn't seem normal, but I guess it's better than her usual grumpy 'I'm the boss so don't backchat me' attitude.
"Right, as you probably know I have selected the two of you as head boy and girl for this year. There have been some changes to the system and your duties and what not so I thought it best that I explain everything in person..."
She goes on and on and on and on about our duties, but all I seem to be taking in is the amount if time I'm going to have to spend with Malfoy. This is going to be shit. Fuck my life. That is all I have to say at the moment.
Neither myself or Scorpius have said a single word since we entered the room.
McGonagall goes on with her speech.
"And finally, seeing as all the new duties have been put into place and most of the tasks you undertake will be together, there will also be new sleeping arrangements in place"
I start listening now. What? does this mean I don't get to share a room with Dom and Roxy anymore?
"We have decided to give the two of you your own common room. This is of course due to the fact that you will need your own space to fulfil some of these duties. Planning and all that. You will still be allowed to visit your respective house common rooms, but you will now live in this common room."
I decide this is my time to interrupt.
"What? Professor are you seriously telling me I have to share with just Malfoy?" I basically scream at her.
"I'm afraid so Miss Weasley. But Mr Malfoy seems to be taking it a whole lot better than you, so I suggest you take a leaf out of his book. It would do you much better. Now if the two of you will follow me, I will show you to the common room."
I can't even believe she just said that. Take a leaf out of Malfoy's book? How much firewhiskey had she had tonight. Wait? Do they even have firewhiskey for the teachers?
I can see the smug look on Scorpius's face. I scowl and send him a look that says 'Shut up Malfoy' and try to ignore him.
We follow McGonagall down a corridor and end up about 50 meters from where the Gryfindor common room is.
"Right. The entrance is behind this portrait," McGonagall says, pointing to a painting of some old man who I am not in the mood to talk to if he's anything like the Fat Lady. "Currently the password is 'dragon toe' but it is up to the two of you as to if you decide to change the password. Well, enjoy. I'll see the two of you tomorrow."
And with that she's gone.
"Well Red, if we're basically living together, I think we should at least be on speaking terms. Who knows what fun we could get up to," Scorpius says with a smirk.
"Shut up Malfoy, and don't call me Red!" I say, already aggravated by his presence. "Dragon toe," I say, and the portrait swings open to reveal the new common room.
"This is amazing," Scorpius says under his breath, and I have to agree with him.
The room is amazing. The walls are a lovely shade of pale blue. On the left side, there is a large fireplace, surrounded by two green cushy armchairs and what looks like a really comfy matching couch. (Slytherin colours. Really?) Next to that there is a huge bookshelf. The amount of books... and I'd barely seen any of them before. That's a nice bookshelf.
There's a reasonable size square table just off the centre of the room with 4 wooden chairs, one on each side of the table.
And on the other side of the room is a small kitchen. With a cupboard. Full of food. I like this place so far. If it was just for me. Malfoy can get his own common room.
At the back of the room there are two doors. I expect the one on the right with 'Rose' written on it must be for me, so I push the door open. This is by far the best part yet.
My trunk and Alfie have been brought up for me, and are sitting at the foot of my queen size four poster bed. The curtains are a deep purple colour and the bedspread is a lighter purple, but they match quite nicely. The window on the side if the room is large, almost double the size of the one in the room I shared with Dom and Roxy. The window sill has some cushions on it which makes it look nice and cosy. Just how I like it.
There is a large empty shelf and a huge empty cupboard. Plenty of storage space.
I notice another door to my right and push it open to find an ensuite bathroom. It has a shower, a huge bath, a toilet, a vanity and a very big mirror. I think this will do just fine.
I make my way back out to big room, and flop myself down in one of the armchairs. It's even comfier than it looked. I'm amazed.
Malfoy appears out of nowhere and sits himself down on the couch.
"I at least want to live in the same space without you giving me the silent treatment all year. I mean, what did I do anyway?" He says. Stupid git.
"You're Scorpius Malfoy. Do I need say anymore?" I respond harshly. Oh damn. I wasn't going to talk to him at all.
"That's a bit harsh don't you think? What did I really do? Can't we at least be friends?" He pleads with me.
"Hey! feel lucky I'm even talking to you. But yeah, I guess you're right. Maybe it would best of we at least tried to get along," I say, giving in.
"Well, I'm off to sleep in my new bed. Goodbye," I say, terminating any chance of conversation there was left.
I brush my teeth and lay in my bed. It's comfier than anything I've ever slept in, but sleep refuses to come. I just lay there. It doesn't feel right. I'd rather be sitting by the fire with Al. But no. I'm stuck with Scorpius Malfoy and no one else. This is stupid. I hate it already. No matter how good this whole common room thing is.
