Rose's POV
The bath water starts to go cold. The water is pink from a fizzy bath bomb I threw in it at least half an hour ago. I think about running some more hot water into it, but then I remember that magic could fix it easier. I have no idea what the time is, so I decide that it might be time to get out.
I shiver as the cool air meets my wet skin. I use a drying spell to (obviously) dry myself, and put on my favourite flannel pyjamas, blue with pink and green spots.
I throw my frizzy red hair into a messy bun on top of my head, grab a book off my shelf and jump into bed.
I flick through the first few pages of '101 Ways to Style Your Hair'. Of course I had to have picked up the book that Dom had given me last Christmas after she was constantly complaining that I never do anything nice with my hair. It is utterly boring, but it's the only book in my room that I haven't already read.
I decide to go have a look at the shelf in the common room. It has a tonne of books there, and I'd barely looked at it.
I shut the door behind me and make my way over to the big shelf. I scan the titles for something that looks interesting.
"Thought you were going to bed Red?" Scorpius says, coming up behind me and scaring the crap out of me.
"Need something to read," I say as I turn around to look at him.
God Scorpius has really nice eyes. I realise I'm staring, so I turn back to the shelf as a slightly awkward silence overcomes us.
"I'm glad we're friends," Scorpius says, then grabs my wrist and leads me over to the other end of the shelf. "If it was me, I'd read something like this." he points to a section full of muggle books.
"Goodnight Rose," he says, and creeps off to his own room.
"Night Scorpius," I say, and go back to looking for a book.
I decide on one called 'Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief', pull it off the shelf, grab a glass of milk and head back to bed.
I read the first chapter, but I can't seem to concentrate. All I can think about is Scorpius's eyes, and his piercing stare. I give up on reading, turn the lights off and drift off into a peaceful sleep.
Scorpius's POV
I wake up to find myself thinking of the same person again.
Rose.
She's just so....
I don't even know how to describe her.
She has intrigued me from the very first minute I saw her. She was always different.
And now we're finally friends. At least, we're on speaking terms. But I want her to be more. I want to be able to call her mine.
She's the most gorgeous girl I've ever met. She's different. She never lets anything get in her way of what she wants.
She's amazing.
I want her to see me the way I see her.
I'm going to do something about it.
I don't know what, or when, but I know I will.
