                                                                     Lily's POV

Waking up to Mikey was strange, trying to remember what happened last night and of course why it happened was difficult, especially first thing in the morning. I rolled over and saw Mikey looking at me and smiling, he was more gorgeous than before, with sleep in his eyes and bad morning breath he was irresistible. I didn't want to show him that I cared so much, even though I think he knew I cared.

Mikey moved closer to me and kissed my cheek, my body tingled again. I sat up and took the whiteboard that lay on my side of the bed along with the black marker pen and wrote: We..had sex last night right? I saw the look in Mikey's eyes as if I had stabbed him over and over again with my black handled knife. Mikey enjoyed last night, you could tell, well I could tell from the look in his eyes.

Mikey snatched the whiteboard from my lap and replied: You told me you loved me and now you can't remember whether we had sex or not? Now I know where I stand. I frowned with disbelief, there was nothing wrong with what I had wrote, I just couldn't believe I had sex with him, and now he thinks he's nothing, which isn't true.

Mikey flung himself out of bed, and came over to me,kissed my cheek with innocence and left my side. I sighed with discomfort, I enjoyed his company, and now, I had ruined things.

                                                                     Mikeys POV

Shutting the door behind me, I carried on walking away from Lily's house. She had to ask if we had sex last night which blatently means she couldn't remember, because clearly I wasn't so good.

I had left my belongings at hers, which meant one day or another I'd have to pay her a visit to return them. I reached into my pocket and took out my phone. I scrolled down to Lily's name and clicked 'Send Message' and then I wrote everything I had to say, everything I needed to say.

Hello Lily,

It hurts me that you can't remember whether we had sex or not, It meant everything to me. I know we hardly know eachother but spending time together this summer will hopefully open a few doors for us. You are special to me Lily, you are beautiful, innocent and courageous. Seeing you hurt yourself like you do taunts me because you have such a bright future. I don't want to sound like your mum or someone elderly, just your lover. Please reply to me, just please.

Then I shoved it back in my pocket and carried on walking. I hated going home, walking through the front door and having my mother run up to me and do sign language to communicate with me, I hated it. I hated being deaf, but I couldn't help it.

The air was cold and walking through the streets in a t-shirt wasn't a rather good idea. I passed Lily's old friends in the street they giggled and laughed at me like they always did. Even though I couldn't hear them making horrid remarks to me I could see their face expressions, and how they laughed at me for being different.

My phone vibrated in my pocket and caused twitches through my leg, I pulled it out hoping there to be a soppy romantic message covering my screen but instead a message from my mother saying "I take it you slept out last night considering your bed was empty last night, LOL Sausages and Mash for tea, let me know if you want some love you honey" Oh it was so manipulative having a mother who looks at you like an abandoned puppy, like I can't do nothing wrong because I'm 'Deaf' I hate it. No matter what I do, I'll always be a Mummy's Boy, and that takes balls to say that, so don't laugh.
