It was a seemingly normal school day for everyone except Felix.
Chan was just the same as he always was; being a diligent student and taking all the proper notes. Changbin, as per usual, zoned out a few times during his lectures, but made sure to tune the professor in when he felt it was needed. Seungmin paid attention for the most part, but he found ways to hold Hyunjin's hand under the table without anyone seeing, and Hyunjin ignored the teacher for the most part, because he knew that the redhead would explain things to him when they were revising later on that night. And Seungmin would explain things in a way that would actually make sense to the older boy. Not like the teachers, who all seemed to be speaking a foreign language. Even Jeongin, who's headache was still persisting throughout the day, managed to get by like it was just another day. And while Felix's friends all found the day to be passing them by in a normal manner; Felix himself found that he felt suffocated in a strange way.
He found himself zoning out a lot, and in his literature class, the teacher even had to snap at him in order to get his attention (which was nothing short of humiliating in every sense of the word). But he really couldn't help it. His mind was anywhere but in the classroom, and he couldn't force himself to focus like he normally did, because every time he tried, he would end up letting his mind wander, and the cycle would simply repeat itself. By lunchtime, the Australian simply wanted to retreat into one of the empty classrooms, lay face down on the ground, and stay there until the final bell dismissed him from the school altogether.
"Jeongin, do you know where Seungmin is? Or, maybe Hyunjin?" Felix inquired as he approached the younger boy who was sitting alone at one of the tables in the cafeteria.
"They're in the library," Jeongin stated, and Felix internally groaned as he heard those words fall from the dark haired boy's lips.
"...that's too far for me to walk right now," the older boy sighed in defeat, taking a seat across from Jeongin.
"It's not that far," the younger boy laughed.
"Just down the hallway a little bit."
"That's still too far," Felix stated stubbornly.
"And, why are they even in the library anyway? Hyunjin doesn't focus well in there because he thinks it's haunted."
"He thinks it's what?" Jeongin snickered.
"He swears that our school's library is haunted. Something about a librarian dying behind a bookshelf, and since students hardly use the library, nobody knew she was dead for a few weeks. I guess nobody liked her, and she got pissed about nobody knowing she was gone, and so she decided to haunt the library as revenge," the older boy explained.
"Oh come on," the younger boy rolled his eyes, "who would believe that?"
"Hyunjin would," Felix answered bluntly.
"Well, even if he really does think that the library is haunted, he and Seungmin aren't exactly in there to study," Jeongin stated, shrugging his shoulders.
The younger boy's words seemed...Suggestive, but Felix assumed that maybe he'd just taken things the wrong way. Because, as far as he knew, he was the only person who knew for sure that Seungmin and Hyunjin were an actual couple and not just friends that acted a bit homosexual around one another.
"...what are you talking about?" The blonde questioned further.
"Don't tell me you haven't figured it out by now," the younger boy stated with a blank face.
Once again, Felix was left feeling completely and utterly confused by the younger boy's words.
"...figured what out?"
